H-hitlerbear?

The way these issues get talked about is racist. They become naturalized and racialized rather than acknowledged as being a by-product of government abuse and attempted genocide that didn't end until the 1990s.

Here's the thing, though: people use those statistics as a way to stigmatize and further marginalize a population that faces those issues due to intergenerational trauma (as opposed to some intrinsic quality that predisposes them to poverty or alcoholism). The problem is a societal one but is typically seen as a way

As a Jew, I can tell you there are actually quite a few funny Holocaust jokes.

yes. This. My husband is Ojibway and we live in a large, diverse city in Canada. "Educated" and "liberal" people have told us both that "we should move so he can back to the land" and that "well, you have a lot of money since he doesn't pay income tax." Racist, illogical, and incorrect.

There are like a bajillion Holocaust jokes out there already. And no, I wouldn't make a joke because they're boring and played out.

Here' in 'mericuh they're called free loaders. 'MERICUH! WOOOOO. U. S. A.! U. S. A.! U. S. A.!

have you ever heard of the phrase, "comparing apples to oranges"?

I kinda want to start hanging outside Atlanta Braves games in a suit and whiteface and be bad at dancing and hand out packs of saltines.

With the way First Nations People have been treated/are still treated and are perceived by way too many people, I don't think that would help, unfortunately. It's good that they are banning it, but there is still SO much racism in BC against First Nations.

These shorts should be banned too.

Thanks. We're going through the rapists appeals process now, so it's all fresh and raw again. (Also, lol with the OMG CAT IN A DRYER! comments.)

Are you people dense? Do you understand that the OP is taking about HER DAUGHTERS RAPE AND YOU ARE ALL WORRIED ABOUT A GIF?

The door is open - the cat is in there making it like a hamster wheel.

The entertainment weekly (re-link here) article/review is a goddamn snarky treasure. Is this normal for them? Do I need to start reading their reviews?
