One of these days a car company is going to figure out millennials hate being blatantly pandered to more than they love all the crap we're throwing at them mercilessly.

As an owner of a previous-gen BMW M car (e39 M5), it is my sworn duty to declare that every aspect of this car is further evidence that BMW has sold out/lost its way/gone soft. The performance is only incrementally better than the old one, which now costs less dollars, and isn't exactly the same as the old one anyway,

I remember when jalopnik was above posting virulent clickbait.

Look in the mirror, kiddo.

This is an unbelievably sad and unecessary loss, and I want to take the opportunity to attempt to drive home an important point and make his passing less in vain;

Wait, so BMW managed to get 4/5 or 5/5 in every safety category on the very first car to be mass-produced using this level of CFRP technology, and we're spinning this as a bad thing? Jesus. In other news, the Porsche 918 is only ONE of the fastest cars to ever circle the ring AND only gets 90mpg. Fucking massive

I am so excited for driverless cars. All the people that buy appliances now because they don't give two shits about driving will be packed into their autocars, leaving the roads incredibly safe for driven cars. the people below that are trying to argue against you are making me cry on the inside.

My 78 firebird has 10, I think. Rear defroster, fan switch, hot/cold, air diverter slider, headlights, wipers, and 4 buttons on the radio. I dunno I might be missing something. I also find that entirely satisfying for a car from 1978.

Sometimes I wish I had moved to NYC like I'd planned to. Not often, but sometimes. This week has absolutely not been one of those times.

Great little explanation from our friend John Voelcker over at Green Car Reports.

3500 buys you access to vette shows, dune buggy shows, and barris kustom shows? Well, it's definitely the cheapest way to appease all three crowds, if that's your thing. I'm feeling generous; NP
