Amazing car AND collectible? In this case, a bad combination that spells out DOOM for the already doomed.

@jedchev: Why yes, yes I would. Its a 1987 LX after all. LX models alone are rare enough as it is, but the 1987 style was only produced for two model years before the redesigned second generation hit the streets.

There must be some mistake here. I know for a fact, Ford never made a rear wheel drive convertible Tempo.

Fox Body Mustangs all the way. SVO or 5.0, in the 1980s you had it all. When automakers didn't have their heads so far up their asses, they actually offered some choices when it came to cars. I'm not talking about Mustangs alone either. When you can have an all wheel drive or a diesel powered Focus in the U.S. get

Hot hatch my ass. Sorry, but I'm biased when it comes to Volkswagens. Not just because my dad's latest project car is a '70 Beetle in bright orange either.

I am truly disgusted by this thing. Whatever happened to just good car design? Its one thing to make something bland (Toyota Camry, Avalon), another to somehow pull of bland AND lazy looking design (this thing).

@abgwin: You did not just bring up the Ford Tempo...

@JC Whitless: In 2040 the only vehicles left will be those on flame damaged posters, and of course, any diesel powered Ford Tempo two doors.

I've always liked these funky early 60s Valiants. Not because I think they look good, but because they are very ugly on the eyes.

@Novaload: I appreciate the love. There are times being the Ford Tempo Fan can be tough, even disheartening (the car I adore is so misunderstood, after all).

@skulldriveshaft picasaweb and youtube: Say what you will, but in (almost) four years of ownership the good old 1989 Ford Tempo that I call my own, has never left me stranded. Sure its been problematic, but I can always depend on it that it will start right up, and drive me to and from my destination reliably and

The gift from my parents was paying for the tow truck to bring my truck home.

Ray Wert. Change you can believe in.

Ford Tempo Fan approves.

I think Jack Telnack could kick some J Mays ass.

I spent hours last night looking up 1958 Mercury station wagon porn.

@Ray Wert: Good read, and I agree. I can also totally see the resemblance between the Top Gear fanatic and the old time Jalopnik commenter.

For every ZR1, there is a GMC Acadia Denali.

Glad to see the Raptor in there.
