Growing up in the Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins generation, I solute the late 1980s and early 1990s American economy cars. Stuff like, the Ford Tempo. With the shitty "Ford Premium Sound System" including a cassette player with AM/FM radio and four speakers and a trunk mounted amplifier, you could really jam out to

Even though it can now be more expensive to buy used than new, it doesn't mean you aren't going to still be paying more for the new car in the long run.

So what is the most lucrative month based payment plan available?

At $2.57 a gallon, I just filled my Ford Tempo up for about $13 for 5.1 gallons.

Ford Tempo AWD > Honda Civic.

I really don't think a shiny new Sierra Denali is going to fix the economic situation. If anything, its trucks like my '94 K2500 or my uncle's ratty '77 Scottsdale K20.

I think Camaro's Tempo suspension can eat live axle Ford ass.

Am I the only one here sick and tired of hearing about this lame "muscle car" (lies) called Camaro? I would honestly rather drive my Ford Tempo.

That looks unsafe, yet awesome at the same time.

Nearly every Chevy I've owned. 1994 S-10 Blazer, 2004 Chevy Venture, 2002 Silverado (actually, thats mom's), 1994 Chevy K2500. Their build quality is horrendous, and the interior material quality is even worse. None of them had a transmission last more then 100,000 miles, even the manual equipped C/K has had numerous

Am I the only one who thinks $34,000 sounds like a really low starting price for a luxury sedan? I was expecting at least $40,0000. Which is probably what the EcoBoost and AWD equipped model starts at..

@KingTex: I agree, being a fellow GMT400 C/K owner (mine is a '94 Cheyenne K2500, 350, 5spd, ECSB). Nonetheless, I don't want to see GM go under. For several reasons, but mainly the impact it would have on our already shitty economy.

@SlowMo: Because Ford is lame. Tempo was a very good car in literally every area except power output and performance. It was severely let down in those areas, and as such, power hungry Americans frown upon her in these modern 200HP+ 2.0L times.

@Josh Keady: What is this mockery? My 1989 Ford, equipped with a 2.3L N/A I4, puts down 100HP and 135lb-ft of torque.

Holy Zombie Jesus, that things got a smaller engine yet is putting down over twice the HP that my Ford is.

@78_elky: They did not. Tempo was sold in North America alone under various nameplates (Mercury Topaz, Ford Tempo, Ford Ghia, Ford Topaz).

Okay. Whats with all the Corvette special additions with the lame paint colors? Yellow and black looks silly. Red and black would be much nicer.
