Quick google search- long hair (below the shoulders) - >$1000, as high as $2500. Even some of the shorter hair wigs aren’t much cheaper.

Right, it’s not a software attack. The device takes power from the USB port powerlines and dumps it into the data lines. You can’t stop it without completely disabling the USB ports.
