@Sir-Lucius has no pictchar!: Same thing happened with the Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii. Nobody preordered it and then EVERYBODY wanted it. Same thing happened to Valkyria Chronicles.

@wintersault: Games are typically rated harder than movies, for one thing. Yes, its scifi violence, but the fact that you get blood sprays beyond the puffs of color when you shoot something (IE painting a wall with blood) is one of the reasons it got rated harder. Also, the strong language bit.

@gunluva is prepared to drop.: Yeah, most of my pay is getting socked away for college/helping my parents pay for a laptop for college. I'm assuming it'll pull from the music you've got on the player already- if so, win and awesome.

@deanbmmv: The art style reminds me of a colorized Darwinia. I can't wait for Darwinia+ on the 360; I hope the PS3 gets some love too.

@Innis: I'll be honest, I'd like to have something like this for XBL. I tend to not use my box while I'm, say, downloading, and I bet the team competitive aspect of it would go over well with the XBL audience. There's more than enough potential cores out there- I bet they could get some major work done if they dev'd

@Befitzero: 2142 did drop-in, mobile spawn, large-scale futuristic combat better. Halo does balanced, tight gameplay better. The problem lies in the fact that it looks like they tried to combine them. It didn't work. I was unimpressed by the demo and I'm not going to be spending money on the game.

@King Hare: Pendulum is good. I really like the harder NIN stuff, esp The Great Destroyer, some Prodigy mebee- essentially anything hard, fast, and electro.

@squidyj: I think the MW2 torture scene doesn't fall under this aegis because it's like the Al-Asad torture scene in COD 4- it's not interactive like the Punisher and its not intensive RF:G. Its hinted at, and while we can safely say it happens, we never actually see or hear anything.

@Paradox me: I would wager its a lot of stuff they've only touched on or things that will be fleshed out. Think like Covenant culture/society or Earth government/military structure- stuff that's not important until you need it to be consistent. I would wager they use it quite a bit when they're writing more subtle

@Stephen Totilo: So you loose your "sheilds" slower in ODST than in H:CE? Or is it just that we're used to playing games with health regen... Wonder if they meant to do that, if they were even thinking about it. It'll be interesting to see if you can figure that out come the 22nd.

@excel_excel: I wasn't all that happy that they used third party controllers. The PS3 is missing out on vibration (and motion sensing, I think, but I'm not sure how they're incorporating that). I'm realy irritated at the fact that the 360 isn't the right shape and it's wired.

@Cellsong: Microsoft never said they'd ban players. The article from yesterday said they'd take action against those who had obtained it "illegitimately" (pirated it, which is SOP anyway)- it was fansite HBO that reported the ban outcome.

@fanboyps3: Does Sony bundle anything more than they need to sell a console? Last I checked, both consoles came with:

@Archaotic: Contrast this with the "we only want two skus" article from earlier today.
