I was 10 when the OJ chase happened. I had no idea who he was at the time, but I knew my dad (who I was visiting out of state) was super interested in the event. Needless to say, he watched the entire thing. I know there’s a whole generation of people out there that are still shocked at the former athlete’s turn, but

We’re not going to talk about that transmission dial? I really hate these things.

My step-dad gets a GM supplier discount, so they only bought GM until this year. My mom had a Traverse and had lots of problems with it. She ended up with a Hyundai Palisade and loves it, which is funny because they kind of gave us the side eye a few years ago when we bought a Subaru Outback. Do you mind me asking

I don’t remember how fast we were going, but I do remember thinking it wasn’t fast enough. I was there for an event where we were going to give rides around the track as part of a fundraiser (probably sometime around 2007 or 2008). It was a little disorganized and when they let us on the track there was no one there

I drove a motorcycle around the track once, and I got to drive on the bank. I only did one side. It was hands down one of the scariest experiences I've ever had. I honestly don't know how we didn't fall off.

That is exactly what happened. I’m a teacher and I see and hear of parents doing this mess to other people’s kids all the time. For them, it’s just another way to give their kid an advantage. I guarantee this kid was killing it out there and they thought she’d be removed. These people suck for so many reasons.

I live in Alabama and you just don’t see very many Subarus older than around the 2002 model year. I expect that it has something to do with the fact that it stays relatively hot and humid most of the time, so we almost never see snow or freezing temperatures more than one or two times a year. When we visit Tennessee

I agree wholeheartedly. And to be clear, if I didn't seem to keep needing a truck for one thing or another, I'd probably still have something like my old Mazdaspeed 3. Most people probably don't need much more than a legitimate wagon, but they've convinced themselves they need a body-on-frame tank.

I used to agree with you. I used to drive a hatchback and swear I could get by with what I had. Eventually, I got sick of having to ask for help when moving things bigger than my hatchback or my wife’s wagon could handle (which had grown to be a lot). The extra doors make it easy for my kid to get in and out on his

He took a job out there.

A year or two after my parents divorced my dad decided to move to Texas with his new wife and stepdaughter. We lived in Alabama, so our visitation had to change pretty drastically as the typical every-other-weekend schedule wasn’t going to work with that kind of distance involved. So, almost every summer we had to

This. Plus, I’d be willing to bet that it’s hard for some of these handling packages to catch on with your average American buyer who is probably far more interested in how many cylinders their performance car has than how well it goes around a corner or stops.

Came here for this. Leaving completely satisfied.

I’ve been following Ronnie throughout the duration of his build. It’s an excellent series with meticulous attention given to the smallest of details.

I took it to mean that she missed it visually, as in she somehow didn’t see the bright yellow, massive Velveta block on wheels.

It’s funny to me that the Subaru Outback is going to get a sub-moniker when the Outback name was introduced as a sub-moniker for the Subaru Impreza and the Subaru Legacy. If it’s successful, expect a vehicle called the Subaru Wilderness at some point further down the road.

I bought a 2008 crew cab 4x4 V6 model about 2 years ago for $6,000. There were a few maintenance items I had to take care of and the mileage is on the higher side, but really I have no complaints given what I paid for it. At the time I bought it, the used truck market near me was not great for someone with my budget

Initiating slow clap.

I had a ‘95 Honda Del Sol VTEC manual that was in really good shape. I bought it off of an older lady I worked with for a great price. She and her husband purchased it brand new as an empty-nesters’ car. As his health declined, it got driven less and less until I pulled it out of their yard. I didn’t have to do much

This. As much as it sucks, a new Pontiac doesn’t really have anything exciting to offer other than maybe a new Firebird. And Camaro sales aren’t that great right now. GM’s better off putting efforts toward keeping Buick going here in the US.
