So, am I right in assuming that Ford got these guys together and were like, “You know all that stuff you paid extra money for? It’s totally standard now! This car is totes better than the one you bought!”?

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it: they should have followed Dodge’s model for the Charger with an affordable V6 and V8 options. They could have even called it Chevelle. I promise if they’d have done this and priced it similarly to the Charger it would have sold much better than it did.

I really wanted one of these back in the day. The bookkeeper where I work has one. Her husband bought it as a midlife crisis car when it was new. She knows I have my eye on it. My wife knows that when it comes up for sale it will be mine.
I hate the sentiment that this is a waste of time. “But why?” the dejectors say. Let’s be honest, if this were a restomod Model A or T with a Coyote engine people would be singing its praises. I think this is a really cool project.
