I agree.  That program was dogshit in many ways.  Typhoons, Cyclones, and some Grand Nationals were killed off.  That’s some baby back bullshit.  It was not environmentally responsible.  If you have running engines they can be parted out, sold to junkyards, etc.

So what’s the over/under on how many days until we have the automotive equivalent of the hindenburg and scrap hydrogen?

4th: This is why I’m leery of these new tech things, especially when they’re directly tied to braking, throttle and steering. One false positive, corroded connection, bad motor, etc and it’s game over.

Its impressive until you see that they still arent turning a profit. They literally sold nearly 100k vehicles last quarter and still probably lost at least a few hundred billion overall

Their only shot at growth (until the Y comes out) is geographic expansion.

Tesla can continue to churn along for as long as investors are willing to throw more money at the problem.

Mostly selling green credits, not cars.

Difference being that the Chinese and US markets for EVs are now shrinking as the Early Adopter cycle has run its course.

Blindly voting is worse than not voting. People need to actually read and know what their candidate stands for and vote accordingly.

It has seat belts and space for crumple zones, only the idea of side seating appears to be a major issue.

Only 90s kids will remember GM’s Autonomy concept

Uses a Honda GX200 (or clone) and Honda CT90 17" wheels, so, yeah, basically a Honda...

1st gen Goldwing GL1000

Except that doesn’t work if your mother lives in a city, or a first ring suburb with a one car garage in an alley, and street parking for visitors.

Intent of design should match actual use cases.

2nd: This sounds great on paper, but for the UAW it’s a rough deal. Building however many cars out of one plan means effectively no new jobs and probably a bunch more automation to support that many models. Not convinced this’ll do anything to bridge the divide between UAW and GM.

Yep - inventory adjustment for free

All of them in the US.

At a time when manufacturers are dealing with excess inventory, isn’t a strike just like a voluntary furlough?

Wow. What a big surprise. This turned into a GWB hater circle jerk. Stupid president, trying to keep the economy from crashing! Overreacting to the first attack on the mainland that killed ~3000 people! The NERVE of that guy. What we needed was a pansy ass Al Gore who would’ve apologized to bin Laden for the loss of
