Maybe that is the plan for how to get rid of environmentalist...big assed bug zappers in cars.

Henry Ford died over 70 years ago.

charging at work or while shopping is early adopter bait. When large scale implementation occurs, 6 chargers by the front door won’t handle the workload.

AMBR is the award given out at the Oakland Car show.  Nothing to do with the Detroit car show.

It is not just the idea of being capable of passing testing....it is forking out the money to have the testing done, to prove you are capable. You also have to have the resources to be able to just throw away the several cars that were used in testing.

Does a 1988 truck still have the 22R or had they already switched to the 22RE?  Japan built Toyotas are amazing as far as reliability goes.  They are not the fastest things ever built, but they last forever if not allowed to rust away.

A modern 4 cylinder would still make it stupid fast and you might have 1/2 a chance to keep it cool. ....and have a smaller mass behind you in case you ever did hit something (think slide hammer). Along those lines, I would have the strongest motor mounts ever put in a belly tank, even with a 4 cylinder.

A big ass swaybar will make the rear slide like that on a FWD.  It rotates quicker like that, but it feels funky on the streets.

When I lived in Memphis, TN I saw that happen a couple of times. It was pretty fun to watch at night.

For Bonneville, you have to meet the safety requirements for the class based on the current top speed....even if your car can’t get anywhere near that speed.  If somebody ran 350 mph, you have to build a car that is safe for 350 mph, even if yours will only go 75 mph. For something like this, the current record speed

Getting away from Obama and keeping Clinton out of the white house is what made the economy so good. Businesses know they have 4 years without socialism/communism to make money.

That pretty much sums up every president since Reagan.  Maybe even him too.  I just wasn’t old enough to realize it.

No government shutdown has ever stolen checks from federal workers....it just delayed them.  They always pass a bill to give them back pay.  Even the ones that were “layed off” and didn’t actually work.

My bad. I quit messing with sammies before 1999.

It is a bitchin’ go-kart/garage art. Not legal for modern racing.

For those that don’t know, that is the next generation of the Suzuki Samurai that we had in the US in the 80's-90's.

My Echo was a 2 door sedan

I still remember the last french cars that were sold in the us. ....Peugeot in the 1970's.  Probably not fair to judge the Yaris based on that, but...

I walked away from a 55 mph head on collision with a Nissan Pathfinder (they crossed the centerline). I hurt for two years...but I walked away.

I had a ‘01 echo with 320,000 miles on it when somebody hit me head on. The Echo was more fun/noticeably quicker/got better gas mileage than my current Yaris
