What light colors specifically? Some of them are just a pain - there are very, very few pale yellows that aren't a terror to apply. You could also try googling the brand + name of polish + "review" to check other user's experience to see if it's just a crappy formula.

For most colors? Nah, not really. Especially not the easy colors like red, orange, or purple. But certain pigments are trickier - pastels from drugstore brands tend to be notoriously difficult, especially yellow. Meanwhile, OPI can make pastels that apply like butter and cover in 2 coats.

Thank you for this comment. I think so many others who are focusing in on the "OMG, you're giving up gaming for her?!" really don't get that the way you play changes as you age. You still enjoy it, but gaming takes a backseat to career, family, and friends.
