You're contradicting yourself. Harry Mason was brought to Silent Hill because of Cheryl. He just happened to be connected and afterwards tried to get her back. You should read Liquid-X's reply, he has a good analysis of SH1; here, I'll paste it in for you:

On one hand, it may have been, which is what I thought too. Read Liquid-X's reply to me, though. It's pretty on the mark with its analysis.

Yeah, I got that from the other replies. I suppose I just missed the line; I always multitask when watching videos. I suppose they needed to generate the buzz, but honestly, I think they would have achieved that with just plastering Kojima and Guillermo's names next to a picture of Silent Hill.

No intentional ones, but a few images do come to mind of unintentional ones. In SH2, I remember walking around on the roof and Pyramidhead just popping out of nowhere and slamming you off. In SH4 there was the giant head room. Both of those were because of loading screens and the nature of SH being completely wacky.

What? Massive generalization here, dude. I get the attitude about fans complaining about franchises that are too different/samey/ etc. The thing is, the SH series was fine up until the 5th game, which was when it changed developers and the whole tone of SH5 was turned from psychological horror to action suspense with

I did play Shattered Memories. I felt it was a neat remake, but it's just something that a jaded fan would come up in his mind after a disappointing release, to put it in metaphorical terms.

See, that's the thing. I still think this'll be a good game (not live up to the hype, but it's Kojima's fault for turning on the vibrate setting on the hype-machine). It's just not as Silent Hill as Silent Hill 1-4 were. If it was given almost ANY other name, personally, I think it would get different expectations.

Well done! I never really dug into SH1, the limitations of ps1 made the horror silly and the combat teeth-pulling. Now that I think about it, wasn't Rachel stuck in her room? And didn't she appear to Laura in SH2 as well? I suppose that's where the Otherworld/overworld comes into play. Then again, Silent Hill is

Ehh. I suppose I'm in the minority here. I played all the good-ol'-days silent hills and I loved all of them (apart from the Silent Hill 1's stupid flying monsters). This one, though... I get that they're trying to do a Silent Hill: The Room thing here with the first person angles and the ghostly goolies and I also

There's just something about a watch that kids are really attracted to. My grandad still kept his father's old wind-up pocketwatch and I as a whippersnapper had this: http://utdesign.syuriken.jp/watch/copyNG35… I don't know if the point is to make you feel like a grown up, but I know I didn't feel like it when my

Sounds a biiiiiiit like Journey, just with a ton more dreariness thrown in...

Not if they kill me.

For me, the ship handled like an oiled Japanese man snow-angel'ing on ice. The story can be the next Age of Innocence, but if the only way to get there is by dying multiple times from a giant fish-stick, no thanks.

Honestly, I'm more curious as to what these creators do for a living. I can't imagine a student or a full-time employee doing something this big during the free time one would have without having consequences at work/school :/

Place bullet here.

It had to be a SNES. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.
