No, it’s real.
No, it’s real.
It'd have been great if the man-gay one had been, you know, heartfelt, too.
Canadian courts, including the Supreme Court, have held that consent is an ongoing process. In simple terms, this means that consenting to have your wrists bound doesn't grow automatically into consent to being punched or choked.
When I was a kid I used to go to church with my aunt and uncle every Sunday, and after church, my aunt would go up in her painting studio and paint and I would mess around and play pretend or whatever in the living room. One weekend in November when I was 9, my uncle went out of town to go hunting, so my aunt and I…
We live in a hundred-year old brownstone. When we moved in, my second child was just starting to talk, and he would often talk to the wall, it seemed, and he would laugh and laugh. Once he started talking better I asked him who he was talking to and he answered, "The man." When I pressed him, he said, "The man who…
This isn't a ghost story, but it does still scare the shit out of me nearly 15 years later….
This stories about a friend of a friend. It's short but it terrified me when heard it. This girl my friend was friends with went out to a bar near her flat with some friends one night. She went to order a drink and realised she had left her ID in her flat. She didn't live very far away so she just ran over there to…
The upper back half of my parents house is haunted. Or posessed. I don't know, but it's wrong up there. When you go upstairs and open the door, there's a large room with a walk in closet, about 700sf. There's a hallway to the right with a little bathroom, and then a door that leads to the other half of the upstairs,…
Sixth grade. My parents and my older brothers and I moved to a new house a couple towns away from the one I grew up in. As per usual with creepy ass houses before you know just how creepy they are, my parents got this huge 5 bedroom house for a steal. It had a weird almost-circular layout, with giant foyer that…
When I was 17 years old, I was an avid romance reader. I'd sneak all of my mother's Harlequin novels and lock myself in my bedroom and just absorb all of it's cheesy, dramatic, goodness. So when I started dreaming of this dashing, young fellow in a breezy, ruffled, white shirt (think Fabio or whatever any man on a…
I have been re-reading all the old stories today in anticipation of this thread! This year I actually have one to contribute.
This didn't happen to me, but to my cousin's ex-husband, and the aftermath was seen by quite a few people, including my mom/uncles. If you live somewhere rural, like me, you know there's a back road to almost everywhere. A house every few miles, no lights, etc. One night, my cousin's husband was driving down one of…
I pride myself on my car trip taking patience. I never rush, I take frequent breaks, and I try to generally enjoy the car trip as much as is possible. Sometimes this leads to overnight stays in random hotels in Connecticut.
Context: I am recounting an experience that I had about 8 years ago when I was a sophomore in college in West Chester, PA. I am recounting it to the best of my ability but some details might have been lost due to the time passing and the fact that I try not to think about this all that often.
Thats funny. I would pay $25000 to NOT see Rock of Ages.
I do send them my sympathies. In cases like this, unless there was malice or known neglect as the cause I don't see how charges like this actually do anything but increase the heartache for all involved. It seems pretty unnecessary.
This is so surreal. I've been working with Ross on some nonprofit projects as of late, and he couldn't be a nicer guy. That child meant the world to him, and he is in absolute hell right now. Please send thoughts of sympathy to him and his family.
