I’m honestly surprised at the tuition, I pay almost that much for basic daycare for one. My boss pays twice as much for his daughter to go to Montessori. What a time to be alive! Also, he is still adorably edible.

Now a student at the University of Chicago, he lives in a house the actor maintains in Augusta, Kentucky.
I wouldn’t want to have kids with someone who surprises me by being a good father. I’d want to assume ahead of time that they’d be a good father. Having a kid and then going “oh wow you’re actually good at this?” Is weird to me. Although I don’t have millions of dollars to support childcare care if the dad slacked off.
We have a Constitution that protects us from unlawful searches and seizures; the Supreme Court specifically declared taking blood from unconscious patients without a warrant violates that right in 2016. Post hoc remedies cannot make people whole. No one — including cops — should be able to break the law and then…
Important to point out it’s not really that it is hospital policy- the hospital’s policy is simply them complying with the Supreme Court’s ruling on this exact issue. She refused to permit him to violate the constitutional rights of the patient.
Also, the situation with the nurse, and the officer talking about not having PC for a warrant... It sounds like they were hoping to catch the patient with something in their system, possibly to weaken any lawsuit he might be able to file against police for a reckless chase? Unbelievably shady in addition to being…
I wasn’t around for this one, but my grandmother is from the UK and her house was covered with all the comparative plates, and tea sets, and knick knacks for everything from the weddings to coronations to anniversaries, so I grew up surrounded by the royal family. I was in college when Kate and Wills got married and I…
Ha ha, I have a comment somewhere here that mentions my mom and I sleeping on the sofa bed for the same reason! It was very exciting back then.
My sisters and I all slept on the pullout couch in the living room so we could wake up and watch while not having to get out of bed. Good times!
Re: Barbara Cartland. She was Diana’s step-mother! I only ever read a couple of Cartland novels mostly because the heroines always spoke in ellipses rather than words.
I remember this. A friend brought this and other cases of that time up a couple of days ago, in fact.
She grew up in a castle her dad bought at a bankruptcy auction after it went decades in disrepair, and turned into a below-middling hotel/event space. This isn’t some grand upbringing, well, not as grand as she’d like you to think and probably told everyone at school, and does indeed put her in the column of…
She’s only been married to Mnuchin for two months and she’s laying claim to how much “we’ve” paid in taxes. Who are “we”? She and Mnuchin won’t even be filing a joint tax return for nearly a year (or more if they file an extension).
And that lovely shade of red lipstick she’s wearing ...
I guess Zadie feels that white teeth should be sufficient.
Is this really going to be a thing we’re going to be expected to care about? That Joss Whedon was a terribly unfaithful husband? Unfortunately, I guess I’ve known too many terrible husbands in my life to find this particularly noteworthy.
Or they’d have her fall down a convenient staircase, a la Crossroads - thereby sidestepping the issue entirely.
AFAIK, most jurisdictions have guidelines for cavity searches and I highly doubt this fucking travesty followed them. I don’t think I’ve read anything else on this site that has upset and angered me as much as this.
Agreed.
