It’s interesting, this specific event seems to be a litmus test for the oversensitive. Most saw it as a harmless question paired with slight needling that’s appropriate between friends. Some saw it as a how dare a woman ask such things, think about the feelings! (And projecting insecurities).

Exactly. You want to make a movie about all the terrible shit Reagan did? HAVE AT IT. Dude was a criminal and an asshole. THERE’S PLENTY OF MATERIAL. But don’t make fun of him for having Alzheimers. In addition to being gross, it’s just kind of lazy.

I do think a movie about Reagan’s Alzheimer’s and how it affected the presidency would be fascinating but it would by no means be a comedy.

The paradox of two states of being.

I feel you, but this seems like a “don’t make fun of Ann Coulter because she’s a woman, make fun of her because she’s a pathetic excuse for a human being” kind of thing. It’s not about protecting Reagan so much as guarding against hypocrisy. Like, I’m all about a movie making fun of Reagan for non-Alzheimer’s reasons.

I’m not listening to it tonight because I’m taking a long drive tomorrow (through the 6, no less, visiting some real ones livin’ past Kennedy Road) and Drake is best in the car. Very much looking forward to it though!! I get a laugh out of ‘Drake the type’ jokes but I love the guy, I can’t help it.

Oh thank god the Canadian ones are ok. Ever since the stupid hat Roots made for the Nagano Olympics, so many people in this country have gone bananas for our Olympic uniforms and bought civilian versions. I don’t get it, but I’m still relieved that 2016's aren’t terrible.
