Meh. I would say the server was a terrible person if he/she knew they were driving and didn’t make the call. The other two people were being irresponsible assholes.

Well, I don’t know why you’re applauding. I’m applauding because two adults who are (in theory) able to make their own life choices made a very bad life choice by drinking and then driving and were prevented from potentially killing someone by a server who called the police.

Americans (as a whole, many individuals are not!) are incredibly provincial. Fewer than half (46%) have a passport today, and that number has skyrocketed in the past decade or so.
