I loved the idea of the skill system in D3 but I feel the game as a whole would have been far better if you could have experienced the whole thing in one playthrough, rather than have to play the game all the way through twice and be halfway through a third before you have access to all the abilities. Torchlight 2 is

You go deaf?

I agree, if you're writing dialogue you should definitely be writing it in a way that sounds good spoken because the characters are speaking it. I don't know how other people play their old school jrpg's but I always add voices in my head anyway so I immediately notice if something is off with the writing. Sure there

I think it could definitely be worth the 30 bucks, they're putting out the prologue for free, and the first chapter for really cheap, so try those out and if you like it buy the whole lot. As long as the game is quality and is a full game it shouldn't matter that it's on iOS and Android, full portable games on 3ds and

I still to this day have Final Fantasy Legend 3 for the Gameboy sitting on my shelf, I loved that game as a kid. If only I still had a Gameboy :(

I agree, I don't really understand this article at all. The only reason he seems to give for not liking this promotion is that the song doesn't match the game, which I completely disagree with. "Take me down to the fighting end, Wash the poison from off my skin, Show me how to be whole again" sounds like a soldier

As my world literature teacher told me in college, "Art is derivative." The odds of you creating something truly unique are incredibly low. The game does definitely borrow ideas and mechanics from other games, but what makes it stand out in such an amazing way is that it takes so many great mechanics that you normally

I'm not arguing that you're wrong about what they stand for and I'm not arguing that they're wrong for standing for it, I'm simply pointing out that that's not balance. I didn't even mention lust, though sex is obviously necessary to further the human race lol. As I mentioned before it's just poor wording.

Exactly, ALL things in balance. Not taking part in love or any of a million emotions or feelings isn't balance. It's taking part in those but restraining yourself from letting those things overtake you that is real balance.

Because, again, balance implies equal yet opposing forces. Good and evil, night and day, sure it might be nice to have nothing but good but that doesn't make it balanced. As Layn says in reply to my first comment it's more a matter of poor wording, "stability" would be the better choice.

I don't know who taught you about balance but balance means a bit of this and a bit of that. Equal on both sides. The jedi represented anything but balance.

Might I ask why this is the second time I've seen an article on Kotaku about a youtuber where the writer doesn't bother to mention the youtuber's name in the article or a link to his channel? The same thing was done when Inthelittlewood made a Fez minecraft map and his video wasn't even linked in the article if I

I enjoyed the game for what it was, because it was obvious that it was a design decision to make it not very challenging so that the gameplay was just a connection between plot points and boss fights. I can understand why a lot of people didn't enjoy it though. As far as the ending goes, I thought that the default

Wait what? All I remember was it TRYING to have a main quest before deciding that time travel was the answer to all their plot problems.

There are only 2 sentences in this post and you still managed to screw it up. Way to take a piece of gaming news and use it to take a potshot at the game in question.

With all due respect Sephiroth had mommy issues and failed to do what he set out to do, Kefka actually destroyed the world and became it's god.

I feel like it isn't Steam you should be wanting to get a cut from the sale of these "used" games, it's the devs who actually put the work into making them.

Hate to break it to you but new content every 5-6 months doesn't count as "constant regular updates". I don't mean to come off as a dick with that statement, just saying.

Idk, I don't mind the look of this. I get your point on using the old job system but think about it. People keep begging Square to go back to their old stuff but they want to keep trying to innovate and do new things with each new Final Fantasy game (which I respect), so I think going back to old mechanics for their

I don't know for sure either but I believe I did hear that the guy behind Day Z is working with the devs on Arma 3 so that may be the case.
