The obsession with corporate grills as a means to brand an automobile when classic branding of purpose and reputation no longer does (The ultimate driving machine) has lead us to the world of ugly grills, bloated designs, high door sills, poor visibility and capable but oh so boring to drive cars.

When it comes to cars a bit of insanity appeals to me. You wouldn’t believe the cars I’ve cross shopped.

I couldn’t hit the star button hard enough.

I hate corporate grills masquerading as branding. Branding is what your product promises. Of course, in a world where Porsche builds SUVs and Ford is really just a truck company maybe grills are all we have. No wonder people call for Mustang and Corvette to become a line of cars, at least we’d (theoretically) get what

It’s not often I encounter a vehicle I want to own simply because of the grill design, but the blue Clipper does that for me.

I hate speaking positively about anything from the Trump camp, but the threat to cut trade with North Korea’s trading partners was aimed at China not South Korea. While blocking trade from China would stop the much needed flow of plastic dodads and the latest disposable tech, as the largest purchaser of Chinese goods

Agreed.

So electricity costs were? Or all zero using supercharging stations?

So low mileage and the car hasn’t had to to fall apart like and Alfa yet or high mileage and we have an odd we’ll build Alfa here? In any case NP from me.

McLaren Honda need redemption together.

I love 911's. I love convertibles. The cross looks like an ill hunchbacked insect to me. For me, if the Lincoln is the greatest convertible this is the worst. Now a Targa on the other hand. Yum.

Had the Chevrolet Canadian twin from ‘68, the Beaumont. Sorry but my 21 hour drive to sunny Florida from Toronto in a NA Miata with factory truck luggage rack wins hands down.

Second best after Lincoln.

Never owned one. Nor have I driven one. And yet I agreed, this is the best convertible in the history of cars.

He may not but I have. And the top of the regular range of 3-series cars makes more sense as a convertible. My uniquely orange 330ci with M bits is far more missed than the later blue M3. That car and a follow up 335ci Coupe lead me directly to the simple pleasures of a Mustang.

All convertibles are good but the most memorable was the one I drove from Toronto to Daytona with the top down the whole way. Even a rest stop robbery at the end of a knife blade can’t erase the pleasure of that drive from my mind. Have no idea what I did with the week in Daytona anymore but the drive lingers.

Anyone else feel a sense of hypocrisy within this post?

Awesome? I owned one of these. Totally forgot about it till this post. Easily one of the dullest cars I’ve ever had. Blah.

When can I get this?

Sadly no. Early digital days so no good print to scan and no workable file to post. Makes me sad.
