Monster...

Lucca was a very lonely girl.

This is the game that confused and shook my beliefs in JRPGs in my tender youth. Here I was expending Final Fantasy, and I got something completely foreign. I also wouldn't say it super easy for someone who is totally green with this kind of game.

Whoa now... Critically acclaimed and much beloved yes. Easy to get into? No.. It's near impenetrable. If you were a gamer in the late 90's and you picked this up in your early-mid teens, you could be forgiven for thinking that. But between some lousy translation/engrish, blurry graphics and thick story, a new player

Yea, what a great game... I remember a friend and I rented it one weekend and we got completely hooked.

I'm already me in real life. I like the idea of seeing worlds—far flung or close to home—through other people's eyes.

You're absolutely right, I have no idea why I said 'where the data is stored'. I already knew this, but it just slipped my mind. Because the plastic can survive scratches but the reflective layer can't, I always considered it the more vulnerable side, despite silkscreening and the like.

I used to work at a mid-scale replication facility; jobs under 10,000 units were frequently done inhouse with cd burners and a full labels; We discovered after about 2-3 years the glue on the labels would eat or otherwise destroy the metal back where the data is stored. Somewhere, there are a lot of dead archive

All those outlines remind me of Tron 2.0, which incidentally was an amazing game.

Outlasts' DLC Whistleblower just came out. I played the original with my brother in a darkened room and had fun scaring the shit out of ourselves.

Am I really the only one who immediately sees The Lawnmower Man in this..? I couldn't find a screenshot, but there is a sequence where two characters are racing in a rig that looks very much like this. Here's what it looked like from the Deliciously terrible CG side of it.

That doesn't explain why the lightbar can't be just controlled in software to come on at the appropriate time.

Thank you for bringing this to people's attention. I've been working in graphics for over a decade now and I can tell you the most neglected thing budget-wise is always the UI. When you tell a client you need to design the UI for a custom launcher, they sort of look at you like you have two heads. In their minds UI's

And now I have that themesong stuck in my head.. But man, I have yet to see I better headtrip of an anime.

Not so much the sound of internet as the sound of cooling. Lots and lots of fans.

What's worse... What will it mean for loadtimes. Even with an SSD.

And then I draw 6 cards, and then I gain a 14/7 Hyena. Such a good feeling.

The rough edges will likely turn you off... I played the original stalker when it was brand new, and there were very few titles at the time that could compete for it's graphics. It still has a great lighting engine and you can't beat it for the atmosphere you get from the environment and sense of barren isolation. But
