@talkingstove: Yeah I guess you are right, he is exagerating a bit, I have an imac, flash sucks but it can handle flash.

@talkingstove: yeah if you notice my post says in 6 years, after that you are going to see what happens to licensing. Actually google paid a license, same as Apple.

@talkingstove: actually flash is on the shitser on the mac same on linux, it uses way to many system resources. On linux when I watch a normal youtube video the computer revs up the fans and starts burning up, it sucks very badly coded, same thing with Mac version. With HTML5 it doesn't even heat up, and it's still on

@talkingstove: Yeah where does ogg cost more, it's licensing is free so browsers can implement it for free, hmm i've used both compression methods, yes theora is a little on the downside but it's quality is good, google's just talking bull when they said it would consume all the bandwith, not true. It's open source.

@Bryon Farris: yeah, but for example I use ubuntu, and the flash for both mac and linux suck, when I watch a shitty quality youtube video my fans rev up like crazy, but when I watch a 720p HTML5 video on youtube it works great it doesn't even speed up the fans.

@ozzzy: actually you can get the latest and greatest from external repositories, yes distributions usually take longer and sometimes even choose to stay with one version for stability, but if you want to get let's say the latest firefox, or chromium build, you can simply add their repositories. I get Chromium updates

@eien: I don't, really, Umm I have 3 macs in my house 1 has leopard the others have 10.4, I had a windows laptop, and an old pc that I use to download stuff. Well on my macbook I installed Ubuntu and replaced all of the proprietary software with better one, on the windows computer I use to have all the proprietary

@djsmiley2k: Linux is just safer, and better at what it does, you can never be to sure about windows.

@eien: Actually, you can get all the programs you want in linux, despite what is in the repository, you can add external sources to the manager and get all the newer updates, all beta applications, any and all applications and packages anybody has created, you can get it and updated it through the same update manager

@DBeta: Yeah that's true the .deb part is the only thing missing, but I ain't complaining it's the best system around, and I go against that saying, Linux is not hard at all, I've basically got my whole family using it and they love it.

@TheFu: Yeah it's the best method I've found 2, if I want the latests and greatest of the programs I usually just add the repository to my sources, but it's still less hassle than any of the other methods around. I'm Using Ubuntu and with one command, everything from the kernel to the beta applications I'm trying out

@BishopBlaize: don't know never happened to me but check around in the forums, specify what video card you have, and whatever else you deem important.

Well as for TV series I found all the new series and there episodes being tracked in [eztv.it] , new episodes of series are released usually the day it comes out on tv, but it's better to download the next day for faster transfer speeds. That covers my tv needs, my movie needs I download from superfundo.org, btjunkie,

@FunkyMonkey: same thing I thought configure it yourself if you know how to you know what i mean?, if you are well dumb you can set it up the way they have, but if you are good enough make your own icons, for your own sites, put each icon and page up, it would be much more acceptable.

@battra92: have you tried the new versions, they are very fast, I mean very very fast, plus the open office tray icon, it opens in milliseconds while just having around 10MB of ram grabbed, I open openoffice in less than a second and it's much faster than office 2007,

@anechoic: same here, I can't stand the interface, or anything from microsoft office, I have much more compatability with openoffice, plus it's free has everything I need and more, and it's very easy to use and has a very powerful interface.

@Apostropartheid: Not for me, it's really fast for me, and i'm using 3.1, 3.2 is much faster, I use it because it's much faster than Microsoft office and i only need basic office things, and open office does more than enough for me.

@battra92: It already runs very fast.

@lance003: exactly for example I always used MS, but never really liked it that much, since I started using OO with some Go-OO parts (this is another OO version which has development parts and submitted parts which haven't or will never be incorporated into OO) I haven't looked back, it's faster it has .docx format
