Cars aren't designed in modules that are totally isolated from each other. Dropping in another 80-90HP and 50ft-lbs might not sound like a big deal, but there are consequences. Every part downstream has to be able to handle the increased torque. The suspension has to handle increased torque and acceleration loads.

Mr. Shelby mentions in his tweet that this package is being installed into an Aero XT, not a Tuatara. I'd bet that at least some geometry would carry over across models though. SSC certainly seems to be following Mr. Chapman's mantra, and I think they're doing it to good effect.

Looks like direct actuation without any pushrods to me.

I didn't get as close as I would like, but hopefully you can see where I was going with this.

I made no association between a lack of situational awareness and not carrying a gun. My post is only two sentences, read it again. If you choose not to carry, that's fine. 90% of the time, I don't either.

It must be nice to choose to live in a world where bad things never happen to good people, and your mere presence ensures that a good time will be had by all. Enjoy your time in Condition White.

"Hi there", I'm not sure why you are so set on firing that round once the gun comes out. That's how wrongful death lawsuits get filed. Confrontations like this are a fast evolution of events, where the final outcome is dependent on EVERY action before it. That means that in the 2 seconds in between drawing a

It's nice Ralph, I like what I'm seeing.

But I think it could use a little more positive camber.

As best as I can tell the head layout is most closely related to the Cosworth 2.3 in the MB 190E, whereas the port/valve geometry seems to be much closer to the XB V8 end of the spectrum. It was certainly made to be an all-out race motor. Instead of an external belt drive, the cams are driven off of an internal

That is still a dead sexy car.

It's a picture from the old house, but I'm still building the engine in my new office. My wife is not thrilled.

I have to say, as shitty as that Vega was, I'm especially thankful for the Cosworth version. Without this model breaking the ice between Cosworth and GM, I probably wouldn't have been able to build a totally sweet 2.6L Pontiac Super Duty Cosworth. Of course it will be turbocharged. Thanks shitty Vegas!

My question to you is what warrants the classification of the High Feature V6 as being "miserable". It has a nice flat torque curve with power output at lower RPM comparable or greater than any other naturally aspirated V6 of similar displacement. On 87 octane no less. So does the engine feel like a 250HP engine,

I'd be interested in seeing how the Sonic SS that's rumored to be in the works will be priced against this.  The Sonic RS is also more heavily optioned than the base Fiesta ST, though that certainly doesn't account for the disparity in performance.  I certainly think that it would be easy for GM to drop the Opel 1.6T

I think it's time for a domestic hot-hatch competition.  Chevy Sonic SS with a 1.6T making 200HP?  Yes please.

Is it bad if I begin every racing game comparison with asking myself  "but how will this compare to Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed?"

If they had ID'd Dorner inside/exiting the truck with a weapon? Yeah. As it stands they should lose their jobs. If you can't ID your target before you shoot you're doing something very wrong.

I guess I'm not getting what the Venture has to do with the Lambda platform. I must be too busy enjoying sitting in leather, being hauled to 60mph in the mid 7 second range and enjoying my 290HP and AWD. Like it or not the Traverse is a strong contender in the segment that needs more seats than you can fit in two

I think it's pretty obvious from the video that the truck was not actually in 4WD, or 4Lo. Are we somehow surprised that whoever was in the Touareg (being basked in the latest idiot-proof tech) was able to out-pull a truck driven by a man who only knew how to push the right pedal REALLY HARD! Put a driver with a
