I do think then it would be a car that young, hip car people would want to buy.  I think the people that actually buy this are 50-60 year old home owners.

It probably isn’t even that hard (obviously). Go show them how it’s done. What do they think they are, wealthy or something that they can even attempt this “racing”?

Yep, flap track shear pins and the like.  Pretty common.

Wow, a concept car with attractive styling

Haven’t seen that before

When you said “the stigma of driving a caddy”, I confirmed that the G8 is parked in a car port next to a trailer home.

To be fair, I’m not sure if the members of that group are willfully ignorant.

Here’s a picture of the same thing at a different angle from January of this year.

So the only thing holding us plebs back is habit and laziness, really.

Eh, alternative medicine providers kill plenty of people INSIDE the U.S., and nobody cares about that either. It’s more of a matter of intent and conviction.  The key is you really have to believe you’re helping.

Just an FYI, “CFRP” does not by default refer to the type or quantity of polymer or reinforcement. Even a woven-fiber laminate made up of unidirectional plies can be called a CFRP. If you’re talking about an isotropic material with a low fiber fraction, then that’s basically what you need to say.

Going from the touchscreen Mylink system in my Sonic to a rental Mazda 3, the experience was infurating.

Should it be any different, since almost twice as many light truck occupants die each year vs non-occupants?

This is what I’m curious about also.  Although if the curvature is low enough the overall strains can be pretty low.  Maybe they’re using an epoxy-based paint?

Why do you think they won’t?

Truck beds probably don’t weigh quite as much as you think.

You only have to eat crow if you’re wrong.

“Often, once CFRP loses its rigidity, it needs to be completely replaced as a unit rather than repaired.”

Most tires actually perform better with a small percentage of slip. That’s why anti-lock brakes are still programmed to alternate between slip and stick conditions, even though we now have additional feedback methods that we could use to prevent any slip whatsoever.

All of these criteria say Chevy Bolt to me...

The SS 1LE already matched the performance of the M4 GTS around MR Laguna Seca, according to Motor Trend. Motor Trend also put the SS 1LE around Big Willow in 1:28.29. The manual ZL1 ran a 1:26.16 and apparently Pobst thought there was still a faster time than that left in the 10spd ZL1.
