And some of us are poor enough that we have to stick with the GIMP. $320 ~ £210 which is almost a months rent, there's no way that I could afford that...

My Desktop died last year though it had been faulty for 2-3 years previous. My main computer at the moment is an 5 year old Acer Extensa 5630EZ laptop running Ubuntu 12.04. The disk drive doesn't work, my "F1" key is non-responsive and my screen is cracked from where my friend sat on it by accident. Still if it gets

Bows are overrated. Boomerangs are where it's at.

"Science reveals the what and the how; it does not reveal (and cannot reveal, nor does it try to) the why."

To assume the question of "why?" is valid one must first assume that there exists a higher purpose, or a reason for our existence, be it a God or any other form of initial creator. If there is no creator the

Yeah, just like the heroine in Metroid isn't called Metroid.

Mine's been on for just over a month now with no noticeable slowdown. Joys of using Linux.

    Some of us like Dubstep...

Now we just need to make these better still and inject them into our offspring for a new super smart race of people. Our further evolution will be on a timescale we decide, the effects of which we will also decide.

    3D spirograph?

My personal thing is the keyboard on laptops. The keys have to feel right, they can't be mushy or too hard to press. Other than that it's mostly just the price and the specs.

Yeah I'm in the UK so I didn't get all the updates you guys got. It was fine for the first 4 months but since it becoming more and more like a paper weight.

I got an Atrix just over a year ago and it's been shit. Updates I was promised never arrived, it's slowed down to a crawl (I haven't even added that much to it) and the screen has a dead zone that no matter my screen orientation prevents me from pressing half the keys on the screen.

I would love being part of a hive mind. Think how much better large collaborative projects would be if we were joined into some sort of super-mind. (I realise that this isn't going to happen for a very long time, if ever but I can dream...)

We physicists are allowed romantic relations? And there was me thinking I had no option but to confine myself to the library... I need to get out more. :P

    The screen ratio looks... odd...

I still have the GBC originals and copies on my GBC emulator for DS but these are some of the best Zelda games so I'll probably buy them again.

The ripple effect reminds me of decloaking enemy ships from star trek. :D

Fuck me! That's some seriously impressive shit! Somebody give this man a job.

I thought she looked better in House than Tron to be fair. Still wouldn't say no.

I gave up with the unity interface at the start of 12.04 and honestly can't see myself going back to it. I wouldn't necessarily say there's anything wrong with it other than it's slow (not as slow as windows but they're trying their hardest). I'd also definitely like to alter the way you get to all your programs
