I think it’s the exact opposite: the guys’ love for Chloe (and probably Maze’s love for Chloe too) is what’s making them vulnerable. The arguments that Lucifer and Pierce (and Maze too) aren’t really good people are strong, but literally (and figuratively, in the real world) love makes people super vulnerable.

The sequence with Tricia Helfer on the motorcycle was also likely a nod to her and her Battlestar Galactica co-star and BFF Katee Sackhoff being motorcycle riding buddies, including several motorcycle rides (and associated calendars of them in assorted states of undress on their bikes) they have done for charity.
