I’m pretty sure they thought he was dead. They could easily have holed up in the wookie’s house for the night and done clean-up in the morning.

Oh, come on, they’re not that bad.

Sleeping dogs, man. Let it go.

Can you redeem yourself by putting your relatives and your home town in danger for selfish reasons and then using the power of your ancestors to drive the bad guys away?

Agree on “bonus like #2".

Virtuosity is terrible and not a good use of your time. It’s VRsploitation at its worst — roughly on par with Lawnmower Man. If you want to see some cheesy but kinda fun VRsploitation, see if you can find VR.5 somewhere. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112209/

Again with the Daleks?

I agree. There are a lot more fantasy than sci-fi titles coming out, it seems, and much of the sci-fi is only marginally sci-fi (like “Nona,” which I mostly liked). Is someone saying that “Fevered Star” (which I also mostly liked) is sci-fi?

Yes, mostly. Luke is trying to manipulate Vader into defending Luke as his son. Luke would have had more ammunition if Obi-wan had told him what we know—which is that Anakin knowingly betrayed everyone he cared for in order to prevent the death of his loverand in doing so, he was ultimately the cause of her dying.

I read “History of What Comes Next” by Sylvain Neuvel, and it’s good. It’s a little bit like “The Eternals,” but without immortality or superpowers and with close attention to character and historical detail. (This is not a good description, but it’s a worthy book, and will apparently be a worthy series.)

So ... NYC stinks but we love it? OK.

I don’t know how that makes sense, but I like it.

There’s a fairly good chance that violent mobs will not be necessary, with all the current and pending state-level GOP laws reducing access to the vote among constituencies that lean Democratic while giving the legislatures the power to directly control voting and re-write election results in Democratic-leaning

Sorry, I’m way out of it. I paid minimal attention to movies that are not coming to my TV any time soon because I am not stepping into a theater until COVID-19 transmission rates are way down. (I live in Arizona, where COVID rates are well above the national average, BTW, and I although I am vaccinated I also have

Who? What? I don’t even remember this character.

One question you have to ask about the rampant racial/ethnic stereotyping in the film is whether making it so open also makes it subversive. I lean towards “no.”

This is disgusting.

OK, I get it. Ha ha.

Call me dense, but I don’t get the headline. What is “Racism+”? Sort of like “compassionate conservatism”?

Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Terrible casting choice.
