From what I remember back in the F1 days during the 90s they were getting 1,000hp out of 1.4L or similar engines...

I would take yours. Five years from now, used, for $60,000 and save $137,000+. My days of buying brand new Porsches are long gone. Learned my lesson. They depreciate faster than you can read this comment on your post.

Lame. Exactly like the Huracan. For the simple reason they got rid of the manual transmission. Reason why my Gallardo will go to the grave with me.

Ottawa is actually better. No comparison to Montreal. They keep everything super clean as it is where the prime minister lives after all.

Mileage really does not tell you the whole story. Normally very low mileage cars that are older (i.e. First three production years) are not a good buy IMHO unless all scheduled maintenance based on time and not mileage, has been done. But even in that case you need to be careful.

Please do not see me as a hater. After all I am a Jalop and I do appreciate good cars. And truly believe the Corvette IS a great vehicle and a LOT of bang for the buck.

Not even in that case and not with the Gallardo. The thing is bullet proof. Mine is at 35,000 miles and has been the cheapest car to maintain that I have. That includes Porsches, BMWs, Audis, etc.

Yes but that includes breaking stuff that should not break like my shifter. If you get a car with a new clutch and the odd stuff does not break (again like it did on mine) it will cost less than that for sure.

As a Gallardo owner, all I can say in the past 2 years all I spent was around $10,000 CAD (USD 8,000). That includes:

I bought a brand new KIA Rondo in 2010 exactly like that. Completely custom. It was the first one the dealer had ever sold with factory navigation and in mocha brown... With 7-seats and leather all over. LOL

New is great IF and a BIG IF, you plan to keep it for a long time AND you need it somehow with options no one usually orders (so really it is almost a one-off vehicle). If you are ok with pretty much any colour and/or options, you cannot beat a 3-year old vehicle. Of course you must do your homework and get the car

On the BMW 525i just a heads up that said Ebay dealer is WELL KNOWN for taking great pictures and HIDING everything the car really has. From what I know he is still to sell a car that did not have issues (of course never disclosed). Do not let the Ebay reviews fool you.

Nah. This is how you roll during Winter. My car, in the driveway. LOL

This should be on NP/CP. As I can bet there are many other F1 examples out there that you can buy for a fraction of that price. Sure, they may be examples that were not crashed TWICE by Mr. Bean but still...

My son had an R32. Reliable for sure. As long as the previous owners did not watch Fast and Furious during their ownership. If that was the case, you are in for a fun experience. Without Maxcare.

At least up here North what 'Muricans call Canada, all my friends with Teslas do have multiple cars for that exact same reason. It is a great car, cool technology, etc but the fact it cannot haul things, cannot go to Niagara Falls from Ottawa in a single charge and so on definitely limits the car.

Agree 100% with you. Thing is as I said 95% of the buyers on this price range do care about the badge and when comparing apples to apples options wise the Touareg is almost the same price as a Cayenne. In a lease it may be potentially within a $70-$100 difference per month. The target market for these cars will easily

Yep! TSMVP over there!

Got it. I do not mind spending money but that is just crazy for sure. The E38 has its share of weird things but nothing like that. Pretty much anything is replaceable in a reasonable manner (meaning no need to remove the engine for an O-ring) and you can still find anything for it directly from BMW (for the sake of it

The E38 is probably the car that takes you to the gates of heaven once you did. I can bet on that.
