Serve that filet up!
One of the “suits”. A very common thread in a lot of comments sections on Kotaku is assumptions made about the “business side” of decisions that are not readily understood by the average gamer. There are business quotes and articles, but the steep majority of content is about the craft of development or consumer…
I'm happy with this no matter which way it goes. Nintendo isn't my precious. It grew due to gamers like me; I hope it continues to grow due to gamers not necessarily like me. Nintendo isn't a supplier of fun that certain parts of the gamer market should hoard; it's a company that has provided invaluable growth and…
I just want Nintendo to succeed; they've been so idealistic, quirky, and personable (compared to the rest of the Big 3 consoles). They succeeded in the past with a model that targeted people like me. If they succeed in the future with a model that targets people not like me, i'm happy for them. I still have plenty of…
Yeah it's about time they did this. Waiting on the generational harvest season and not taking advantage of budding gamers on mobile platforms is just refusing to equip a piece of your armor set for no reason. I'm excited for light mobile gamers my age to get excited about a Nintendo game with me today, not one…
This just feeds my excitement to finally play Mario on my phone. Finally, the [start of it all] is nigh!

Can't argue with that when i browse "Add-ons" and it's just a conga line of CoD weapon skins and costumes (and Dead or Alive—well—just skin via revealing costumes).
Those are goods points; didn't consider it that way before. It's like there may be sensible explanations for price points! I'm not sure i'm ready for that kind of paradigm shift as an average consumer...
Why not? CoD's already subscription-based, albeit annually.
You, friend, are a delight.
In addition to the base defense stuff, there's a "proper" story going on in Valley of the Yetis, but it's a non-starter. There's a bad guy who occasionally yells at Ajay over the radio, but I've never actually seen him and don't care about him. There are some friendly NPCs, like your helicopter pilot, who you have to…
I wonder that too. To be safe, when i see a deal i like (even for X1, which i don't have yet), i just go online to the desktop Xbox website and buy it. Your account then "owns" it and it'll download to your console the next time you sign in on it.
Holy crap, so disgustingly mean. That kind of stuff makes me waver in my defense of internet anonymity.
Yeah, as much as i disagree with the New Old Man "new ideas are for the birds!" reflexive attitude about tech development, it's tough to see how the average consumer can see "cool experience", find out "nausea-guaranteed/must clear an entire room (a la HTC Vive) for a nausea-free experience", and then go "Yes, here is…
Agreed, and the price barrier to entry is higher than a $100 Kinect for the same gimmickiness (word?) or a $260 WiiU for a restricted experience type. People have always been pretty open to new ways to game; it's both the cost and setup (Kinect + room vs phone + ease) that adjust whether people will actually pull the…
What the hell? Adults trolling 5-8 year olds is worse than what kids do to each other online. Hopefully those youtube channels get flagged like crazy.
The ministry feels as though children may confuse the in-game world with the real world, and even begin torturing animals, oblivious to the pain they're inflicting. The report added that not only would Minecraft cause "social isolation," but that the online component might lead to internet bullying.
Then build demand for an intermediate step: hard copy compilations of hit XBLA games. There's precedent for that, and old hard copy release compilations are normal now, not to mention the increasing flexibility of the $60 price point (e.g. Ground Zeroes).
