It’s good to see that DUM-E found work after Tony Stark’s mansion was destroyed.

Low power mode almost constantly and a mix of wireless and cellular. Probably about 5 hrs audio playback too. That said, the battery size is not close (1810 mAh on the 6, 2915 mAh on the 6 plus) so I’m not surprised people gravitate to the larger one.

The only precedent for an out-of-band upgrade was the introduction of the CDMA-capable iPhone 4, and there usually seems to be that intro-on-Tuesday-release-Friday-week pattern...why they would go away from this I have no idea, but the Great Mentioner has been convinced for months now, so I’m counting on it...

Someone (I cannot remember who or where or I would link it) did a bunch of algebra and concluded that with the stated battery and smaller screen, the iPhone SE, so-called, should project to 11.5 hours of claimed battery life for wifi and LTE data. Even if that realistically becomes more like 9, it would still be a

Cosigned - using talk time as the metric for smartphone battery life is as pointless as evaluating a car’s gas mileage by how efficient it is in reverse. How long will the battery last with the screen on and data being exchanged over a three-bar cellular connection?

Ironically Portland still has the only truly attractive public drinking fountains to be found anywhere. =)

Fair enough, but the edge I’m hoping for here also stems from not having 3DTouch- the 6S series has smaller batteries than the 6 series just to accommodate the 3DTouch screen tech. (Which Apple basically admitted was an asinine decision by releasing an external battery case for an iPhone for the first time ever.)

If I can get a 5se, so-called, and have a one-hand-able 4-inch display plus NFC/ApplePay and an outside shot at the battery lasting all day because it’s not driving a big screen? Will pay cash on day one.

Now that we’re moving into a world where your phone isn’t replaced on your contract cycle (because that’s the only time it’s economically realistic), I’d love to be able to buy a phone and upgrade it over 4-5 years rather than be stuck with a sealed unit that’ll be either gimped in two iOS releases or unable to

If it gets updates in a timely fashion, I’m all in. Waiting a year for Lollipop, that’s finished.

Someday I hope somebody will turn out a nice little 4.7”-screen phone for those of us who were happy not carrying a slab. The original Moto X is still the perfect phone for me - and I came from five straight iPhones. Have we just decided that 5.2” is the new minimum size now?

A slow white gator who doesn’t see what’s in front of him? How is he not named Tebow?

Work-provided phone. =) but seriously, my fallback is a personally-owned Moto X (2013) that currently has a pay-per-day T-Mobile SIM in it. Were I to change jobs and go into a BYOD situation, I’d probably go for T-Mob’s rarely-advertised $30/mo prepaid plan that has 100 minutes talk, unlimited texting and 5 GB data.

Grad students are a loophole in the 13th amendment. It’s a show.

Some users who know how to ask questions and listen to the answers are more precious than diamond money with naked people on it. Then there are the ones who want you to think so they don’t have to. I wish I had a nickel for every time I’ve refrained from saying “I can explain it to you but I can’t understand it for

I've said it before, but it bears repeating: the appeal of Uber et al is not the ability to meet some random who will drive you somewhere, it's the ability to get a ride by punching something on an app and have it automatically paid for without fumbling for cash or change. Apps like Curb or Flywheel or Hailo can do

I mean yeah, the book is kind of a show, but the kid's graduated. Stallings is making the program look a lot worse by acting like Principal Vernon about the thing - as if he hadn't already made it look worse by running off two entire recruiting classes in a row and failing to win more than one NCAA tournament game

There's a reason why David Williams is the Goldfather.

That would surprise me not at all.

Oh yeah. I'm in proximity to Googleburg and I still can't get the NOLA anywhere but at the distillery. I bought half a dozen.
