Well if the two had a child then that child would need a teething ring...enter Volcanion!

Why didn’t we get to see all these cool locations in the game? D:

You can find this guy on Fathom under the submarine pits. I wonder if he was supposed to have a bigger role in the campaign (visiting Fathom’s planet) since he’s awfully detailed for an easter egg.

They did an AMA on /r/halo and someone asked that and all they said is they can’t comment on that so maybe? That would be a big feature to announce with everything else so maybe not?

Sweet Christmas!

Arena is actually a bit of a combination of all the classic Halo multiplayers. Assault Rifle and Magnum spawns. Strong power weapons (rocket, sniper, etc) are on fixed timers like Halo 1 and have map waypoints 30 seconds before they respawn (for map control). Weaker power weapons (shotgun, hydra, etc) have pickup

It’s actually a poor description. It’s basically Invasion from Halo: Reach. You have one team of defenders and a team of attackers. The game starts at 6 minutes and the attackers need to capture the first base in that time. If they do they get extra time to capture the second base, and if they don’t then the defenders

They’re actually pretty well balanced. A bad player can buy a bunch of packs to get the best cards, but they need to play well enough to be able to use them, and they can’t spam them because they cost energy. And if they’re bad they probably won’t last long with a good item anyway.

Forge is the thing I’m most excited for. It really has the potential to drastically boost the longevity of the game. My mind is still a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of 1600 items when Halo 4 had around 200. Toss in the terrain editing and all the other features and I really think anything is possible now.

No Flood level.

There is a map editor (Forge) but it won’t be released until December. While it’s not at launch, I think the wait is worth it because there are tons of new features! Terrain editing, 1600 objects (Halo 4 had about 200), three canvases (grassy, snowy, and space) that each have 3 times of day, group selection, item

Actually the story lines up pretty well with Bungie’s original plan before they went in a different direction in Halo 3.

I believe they removed that after the Beta. You still see your team standing at the end, but it’s much more stoic.

Having seen the campaign a few times, the first 3 missions are probably some of the more diverse ones in the game, but there are definitely some great ones later on. In fact mission 8-12 seem to be the best in the game (in my opinion).

It’s surprisingly like ME3’s multiplayer. You unlock content via in-game packs that can be bought with in-game currency or real money, but in return all DLC is free (free maps and new unlockable weapons and armor). However, it improves on ME3 in a few ways. In ME3 you could get items you had already unlocked which you

I don’t think there were any marines in the game. The closest would be the soldiers on Meridian, but certainly there weren’t any on Sanghelios or Genesis.

Thoughts on the boss battles? It seems the Warden was the low point of the game for a lot of people.

From the streams, 3 missions as Chief and 12 as Locke. However, Chief’s missions are twice as long and 3 of Locke’s missions are short non-combat ones that take 5 minutes so it’s more like 6 Chief and 9 Locke.

Have you played Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer? The system is similar to that. Play games, get in game currency, buy packs and get random things. However, in Halo 5’s favor is that simply having good cards is not enough. You have to earn the ability to use them in match by playing well and once you die you lose that

I’ve seen the entire campaign streamed about 3 times and I have to say I felt the level design was the best in the series. Each mission has multiple paths that have all sorts of varying features such as open areas, close quarters areas, and a bunch of verticality to move around them. Toss in numerous hidden weapon
