It also shows their range to essentially play each other’s characters as well. There’s so much dark humor there that I had to watch it multiple times because I kept laughing so hard.
I love this scene because not only does it show how solid the show and its characters are (and it’s really fun to watch), but it also really looks like the actors are enjoying it.

You didn’t miss much. The first half was about 10x better than after the time jump. Particularly because his idea of epigenetics and “race” was kind of creepy.
