I think The Usual Suspects is the gold standard for Plot Twists. It's set up nicely and it completely changes how the movie is viewed.

And if it is a choice between the Hero's Love Interest and the Dog,.......

If the dog dies, I won't watch.

I'd really love to see them adapt both A Deepness in the Sky and/or A Fire Upon the Deep. They both have huge potential as a harder sci-fi/fantasy/space opera.

If so, that means we need a cable TV series of The Hyperion Cantos. Toot sweet.

The photo above is one of the reasons I loved Guardians of the Galaxy.

Edmund Dantes

Reconstructed sentient superweapon from time immemorial? MULTIPASS!

I'll go with cinematic Star-Lord. Because his "26 years later" intro was just the best.

Harry Potter, Bruce Wayne, and a metric shitton of other fictional heroes walk into the bar. The bartender asks "Why the long faces?", to which the heroes respond loudly in unison: "MY PARENTS ARE DEAD!"

I like the start of Humans according to Prometheus

I like the one character who was an orphan and then became the super hero.

I'm glad that Amazon has Hobb's Tawny Man trilogy in a single purchase. Time to read really, really fast. And SANDMAN SLIM

Yay! New Sandman Slim book. I'm between Dresden books, the Nightside is over, and I can't read the Iron Druid series.

Hamilton in T2 is one of the toughest-ass motherfuckers in film history, man or woman. It's a stellar performance and I can't blame anyone for not quite being able to match it.

Ok, so let me see if I've got this straight. (Simplified, of course)
I start a limited liability corporation. I can push my personal beliefs onto the company and there's no problem. However, if I screw it up, I'm not held personally liable for the finances(to an extant).

I'll believe in corporate personhood the first time one is sentenced to prison.

I'm an atheist, but this parable seems the most apt: someone needs to start flipping some moneychanging tables at the temple.
