Mmm Texas aquifer water. That fracking fluid gives it an extra kick, plus you can do neat fiery magic tricks with it. Excuse me while I search for a kidney donor.

That would be too reasonable. The Republicans would respond by buying more guns and ammo.

Yep yep. And it's the Republican assholes here in the Central Valley who do not understand the way ecosystems work AT ALL and somehow think that if they are allowed to suck their water source to the point of complete devastation and death that they will somehow still be able to continue to get water from it...

No, but Republicans are the ones who don't bother asking questions like "how can we ALL drink from the Colorado — won't it run dry?" when developers want to build houses. They are the ones who dismiss climate science, then hold mass, public prayer meetings to fucking pray for rain. They publicly deride the

Yes all Repubs love to waste water. Please tell everyone, the secret is out.

It stops voting Republican?

Starting the water Yakuza myself. Aquakuza.

Just wait and see what happens in Atlanta. They're running out of water a lot faster than Las Vegas.

There were so many in the series.

Looking back over 25 years, the number of Fox shows I've watched that were cancelled after one or two seasons is... astounding:

i think this was a really decent show. i'm sure that everyone here could find fault, but we're the kind of people who comment on io9 - so we aren't measuring this show against the festering mountain of dreck that consumes 97% of the broadcast spectrum. was it as good as Sherlock? of course not. was it as good as

What a shame.

To me I'll always think of Almost Human being something like the early years of Judge Dredd Origins.

I mean they were even name dropping things like cubes, and the wall with an implied cursed earth outside and such.

Fox: Making nerds cry since 2002.

That doesn't surprise me. Frankly, though I hoped it'd get renewed, I didn't really believe it would. The show had potential but had no idea what to do with it.

Agreed. If they had stuck with the procedural thread, it would done better, or at least get further into mythology. Regardless of eps being aired out of order, they dropped the ball on keeping us interested in mythology.

inconsistent storytelling

I was watching it, so of course it got cancelled.

Im bummed because I liked seeing Urban on TV, and liked the chemistry between Dorian and Kennex.... but otherwise - they kinda deserved it.
