Isn't this sort of how reproduction worked in Spore? I remember Maxis getting a lot of flak from the scientific community because the method of evolution they used in the game was not canon to our world.

So let me get this straight— Criticizing someone for producing a bad product and stating the difference between what you would have done versus what they did makes Wilson an okay dude?

If you don't know why people strongly dislike Jay Wilson, you haven't been paying attention for the past 5 months. Your naivety is much like someone wondering why people think Fox News is a right-wing propaganda outlet. In other words, it's obvious— You just don't see it yet. Go back and read/watch interviews of him.

I'll revise my statement in a way that still makes it true. Being famous amplifies the perception people have of your ugliness, average-ness, or hot-ness. Hence, hot-ness is perceived to be hotter than it really is.

I think you may be ever-so-slightly misinterpreting what I wrote. "Being widely recognized" is closer to what I was going for and I guess I should've emphasized that. I might be posting on my "evil" account, but I will try to be nice. I don't want any of this to seem patronizing.

Not sure why any of this is a surprise— Women are attracted to fame. Being widely recognized automatically makes you appear several shades hotter than you really are.
