Quit being a poser.

Let gun folks talk about guns.

Rofl. Don’t cut your self with all of that pretentious edginess.

Um what?

I burned ‘em. They taste like shit ;)

First of all, penetrating just one deck, regardless of casualties, is a MASSIVE deal. Fire is the biggest killer of warships in combat, followed by flooding, followed by a catastrophic event. Capital ships have been sunk by a single bomb or shell starting uncontrollable fires, even if the strike itself wasn’t

You literally just added together multiple decks to try and support your retardation. I very obviously mean the fucking deck. Ya know, the part that would separate a falling bomb from any part of the interior. A munition doesn’t have to penetrate ALL the decks your worthless shit stain. It only needs to penetrate one.

Hell yes there is.

You’re ridiculously out of your depth. Instead of acknowledging that you’re trying to tell everyone else how they’re wrong. A few of the guys you’re telling how ‘wrong’ they are are long-time USN vets.

You couldn’t possibly be more clueless. Just curious, which branch did you serve with or is this all the result of too much internet spitballing?

All “run of the mill pilots” ARE officers.

Sir, you have no clue what the fuck you’re talking about. My best officers were guys that were prior enlisted. Some of the worst were guys like you, typically ring-knockers, that actually believe the shit that came out of their mouth. A good officer will have his guy’s love and support, regardless. If you don’t have

You really are quite the shitbag troll.

You need a few more dozen stars (but are unlikely to get it because of amateur idiots hanging off of Tyler’s coat-tails).

That would be a good idea. The F-35 has taken a pounding for its procurement and budget issues. The aircraft itself is fine. If you want to placate a bunch of know nothings on a Gawker owned blog, by into jumbos narrative.

I just used it because both sides were covered.

I dunno about the foreign pictures, but the USN only shows screws after they become open source material. Those pictures don’t show anything except what they were using at that point. There are better screws that still far under wrap.

Speed also effect cavitation. A high-speed screw will produce those steam bubbles. Most of our new boats have a classified screw with far more blades. Those screws produce massive amounts of thrust (at very low RPMs), thus allowing them to run at high speeds and escape without much cavitation.

A special screw design on the Ohio, (and i’m sure the Virginia and Seawolf) ensures that they can still maintain relatively high speeds without cavitation. It has four more blades that normal. Those four additional blades makes massive amounts of thrust at minimal RPMs. Because of those factors the steam bubbles that

If you wanna get super pedantic I guess you could be right. The thing is, that term [CIWS] was coined for and by the Phalanx. Any other definition just using their technology and phrasing to copy something else.
