That was so good. The team that designed those visuals had a good time, I can tell. The two-headed unicorn that had another unicorn head where the butt should be was my favorite. I’m in a master of public heath program, and my classes on health care marketing definitely sound like this tune. We need Weird Al in times…
They have no incentive to. The people making the calls are incentivized (via big bonuses) to cut all “nonessential” costs in order to post bigger profits to their investors every year. Putting aside money cuts into profits.
Pitchford was aware of the additional costs associated with the engine change, and how they would impact the overall profitability of the game and drive it below the projections. There’s no way he could have been running the company and not know that.
it’s not that the company is taking money away from the employees that they had promised them it’s just that their projections for what the bonuses would be were off.
Sounds to me like Pitchford knew what the numbers were, and knew the bonuses wouldn’t match up to previous Borderlands releases, but he kept that to himself to keep crunching developers motivated by dreams of big payout at the end of the line.
These folks always need something to happen to them before they give a shit because empathy and a sense of community are the American ideals they choose to ignore.

The day that incompetent orange fuck dies should be a national holiday - a celebration, not a day of mourning.
I’d be okay with them dying.
Is this why people are going crazy stockpiling toilet paper? ;)
the ONE good idea the otherwise horrible Superman Returns game had was not giving Supes a lifebar, and instead giving Metropolis a “collateral damage” meter, so you had to complete every fight being careful of your surroundings. That mechanic in a better game would rule, and it’s very true to the character.
Wow, in the US that kind of business savvy gets you the Oval Office.
“The abstract nature of the original game’s presentation meant you had to rely on your imagination to fill in all the little details. You were given the broad strokes, but the game never truly defined its characters or world - it merely suggested the overall shape of things, like an impressionist painting.”
When I think back to Final Fantasy VII, I remember the feelings, impressions, and atmosphere of the game above everything else.
Isn’t that the plot of the game Full Throttle?
I think that you misspelled “CUV”.
I don’t think this ever gets old.
