I love how Hollow Knight is on here, but Dark Souls: Remastered isn’t.

Do You Guys Not Have Phones?”

Thanks for the more fair report. For anyone who has been following anything Epic related on Kotaku’s site, it’s always been heavily biased in Epic’s favor, and this headline is another reminder of that.

Yep. I hate Fortnite, EPG and “that whole thing(tm)” but this is a masterpiece with regards to target audience and execution.

Aliens attack the planet in a bid for conquest, and are ultimately defeated by an earthly computer virus originating from, of all things, a walled-garden laptop company known for its willful incompatibility with competing systems.

You don’t have to buy it. It doesn’t necessarily need to meet your specific needs. Don’t get one! All good!

It’s depressing because the chipset, as old as it is, is capable of so much more (literally 2x), but it’s been hampered by such insane underclocking (understandably so, considering heat and power management).  The Switch is using so little of the Tegra chip :(

Something something expectation management something

Timed exclusives as well. EGS...

I’m pretty sure your providing of that link was going to be much more efficient than me googling around, in this particular instance.

I am unaware of this, but I don’t see any reason it could be untrue. Is there a source, or? Just curious.
From what I understand, the specific ventures we were discussing originally didn’t really perform; but sales figures for valve are indeed hard to come by (going by partner hearsay).

I hate to say it, but I don’t think it was a matter of Gabe losing attention. I think that, unfortunately, the Steam Link / Steam controller simply didn’t see the success it needed to, in order to be profitable.

Tragically, taking them off will also feed the “trumpers”. See, that’s the allure of willful ignorance. Vaccinated people will demask, there’s still a lower chance for transmission, “trumpers” won’t get the disease, “see it was all a hoax”.

Yes, and... well, yes; but... I have a few games that I’ve definitely played in for the shiggles, because it cracks me up that everyone in my friends list gets to see “EtrnL_Frost is playing Subverse”.

Spikes

This. The hypocritical nature of the “store”front pretty much wrote it off for me. I mean, I get that the vast majority of people don’t understand this, but agreeing to the methodology of a practice that you disagree with... is agreeing with the practice.

This. Until they can develop that UI, once they stop providing free games, my bet is the majority of “their” user base is just going to go back to Steam.

Whew! It’s a good thing you can’t put a price on loyalty!

Not going to lie, I haven’t validated anything you said, but ...

Worse than it sounds.  The money sunk here reinforces releasing well advertised and marketed shit games that will receive no future support.  Since they’re being paid on perceived purchases rather than customer retention, it’s in the publisher’s best interests to get word out about some awesome game regardless of its
