If anything this should signal that we should be careful about anyone the media props up, but, hey, I’m just a guy.  Was he always this bad?  I find it hard to believe not.  With all the scrutiny from 9/11 though, it amazes me that some of these current actions didn’t surface prior.

That’s a lot of effort that could have been circumvented by just going to the artist’s Patreon.  Jeez.

It’s kind of amusing, because I also avoided the hype around it, and have been so far enjoying the game (PC). It’s... kind of weird to see the media and commentary about how the game is being seen from the console / media side though. It’s a little... alternate universe, almost.

you know what would be cool though would be enabling GameStream on the switch.  It’s already halfway there...

The weird part is all the developers insisting that the Switch hardware is “for teenagers and kids” when it’s clear from this comment section that it’s actually parent gamers with kids that are finding the most enjoyment out of the console (myself included).

I’m going to guess the people complaining the most are trying to run these games in console mode on the TV instead of portable.

Some of those fears are useful in driving one to be a better parent. You mention that your mom was horrid - well, now you know what red flags to look for in a potential mate :) Also, what not to do.  Lessons learned, aye.

If only every human thought this much about child rearing. I wanted more children, but realistically stopped at 2 for the same reasons in this thread. Didn’t want to exacerbate the population problem, and I also think more children would have been detrimental to their rearing.

Whilst a parent, I’m not a mom, and I’m going to hazard a guess that there’s no good blanket answer. I’ve also gone through something similar, having disowned my own father more than 20 years ago. I can count on one two hands how many times we’ve communicated since then, less than one hand how many times I’ve seen…

On top of this, it’s a good time to have your voice heard and be involved in the bugfixing / development process. It’s the time to see a bug, call it out, or even see the way something is laid out, call it out, and see if the devs fix it.

As someone who purchased it for Early Access - this. I don’t get why people expect everything that comes with a full on release for anything that is Early Access. I am spending my money willingly and with the blinders off.

They are old enough to be tried as adults.  They should have the book thrown at them, and be made examples of.  Swatting is bad on all levels; hopefully zero tolerance will have an impact.

Yeah, this is the part where I get a bit annoyed at some of the expectations set. The point of Early Access isn’t to play a fully polished gaming experience, but that seems to be what people expect nowadays. It really is to ... well, polish the game. And the state could be anywhere post alpha, but is still pre-release.…
