The fact that you casually say "god damn" without worrying that you'll be shunned and shamed by this community proves the fact that people aren't really that touchy.

People are getting outraged by stories, not pixels. That's how art criticism works. Pixels, celluloid frames, canvases, pages, it doesn't matter what the medium is. If a story offends and outrages people, they're allowed to say so.

They'll do fine. People buy lots of games. If Titanfall is dope and Titanfall 2 is doper, everyone will buy it. They'll buy BFs and CoDs and Halos and GTAs and Saints Rows and Assassin's Creeds and Gears of Wars and all the rest of it. This is not a zero-sum game.

Are games usually developed in a linear fashion like this where you have the beginning levels and not the end? Movies are shot out of order all the time. Why didn't they just work on a final boss level (or whatever) with what time/money they had and then place the text explainer bit in the middle as an "interlude"…
