Paterno has already been fired before he died.

Uh, did anyone else look at the thumbnail for this story and think it looked like automatic gunfire?
Obviously it worked out for that one woman, but fighting back during a robbery is almost always a very bad idea. No property, especially property that you have insured, is worth potentially losing your life over. You don’t know whether someone is armed, and when you are dealing with kids or fiending drug addicts, they…
Complaining about a rich white kid getting a good result in court isn’t going to make it any more likely that poor minorities will be treated better. It’s the same thing as the Brock Turner case. Removing a court’s ability to show mercy hurts everyone. Yes, it’s obvious that there are disparities in how that mercy is…
If anyone wonders why we never make any progress in reforming the criminal justice system, it’s because democrats insist on nominating career prosecutors.
The Supreme Court doesn’t have anything to do with amending the Constitution.
So sacrifice your freedom to be free of warrantless searches and seizures in order to protect your freedom to not be arrested?
Landlords cannot let cops in. Sorry, but you are making shit up.
Too young to be in a mall, old enough to be charged as an adult (no juvenile court for 17 year olds in Wisconsin).
We all know that Mustang belongs to a Marine who got a sweet loan at only 23% APR.
Sometimes when I’m really stressed out I watch videos of ATC’s or whatever they are called in the Navy guiding pilots in for dangerous aircraft carrier landings. So reassuring and calm. We could all use a voice like that in our lives.
I’m guessing this lady cashed out her 401k to donate to the cause.
Lawyers can’t just magically get charges dropped, barring some sort of constitutional violation by the police. Self-defense is always an issue of fact for the jury to decide at tiral.
Murder (and other felonies) attorney here. Like anything in law, there are no absolutes. Whether you should demand the truth and the whole truth from your client depends on the case. Of course you want them to be honest when answering your questions, but some questions are simply better left unasked.
My favorite part was when you volunteered that you’re a cop as if that was going to support your argument that this is NBD. This isn’t cops responding to call of kids playing basketball in the street then joining in on some 3 on 3. It’s so hypocritical acceptance of dangerous behavior that police happily rack people…
Aaaand of course you have a “thin blue line” avi.
What, too good for the People’s College of Law in LA?
Then how about you and your other gun lovers stop voting for Republicans who are unwilling to find any middle ground? Democratic-run states allow people to hunt, to own pistols in their home for protection, and I guess collect antiques too. They just think maybe there should be some sort of licensing process to own an…
No. You’re probably thinking of instances where evidence was withheld until trial, or never turned over at all. This was apparently disclosed well before the trial date (if a trial date has even been set). The case may get dismissed but not because of withheld evidence.
New York has pretty much the worst discovery laws in the country, saying that the State (or the People, whatever) can basically wait til immediately before trial to turn evidence over. Four or five months post-indictment is probably, sadly, a relatively short time.
