Future entertainment historians will look at this show as part of the start of short season streaming tv era for all of its good and bad. I am an OLD and I am starting to miss the 20+ episode start every fall and run to every spring of the TV of the past and not wait 2+ years for an 8 episode season. I like Maisel it…
Do you not understand what a pre-air review is?
That’s a weird thing to say to a pop culture critic. Just don’t read it?
Neither were abortion bans, but here we are today...
Huzzah and well done! for avoiding the “click here to start the slide-show” hegemony
Most of these solutions do involve some amount of rubbing, which, incidentally, is what it’s meant for (go figure). I keep a bottle of 91% in my office because I often disassemble small electronics for repair, and it’s perfect for this due to its ability to cut almost any grime, and the fact it evaporates quickly so…
Just shut off the outdoor spigot in the winter. Then you should be fine. I've lived in North Dakota and Minnesota all my life. Underground pipes only get close to freezing when the outdoor temp is -10 or more. A pipe once blew in my parents' house from an outdoor spigot we didn't turn off until it was too late. We…
LA is mild compared to south Texas. Daytime temps in the 60s is January in my hometown, where its actually 80F degrees today so even then not always. And two weeks ago it was 16F.
Sorry, you are incorrect as to the definition of theory.
At smaller airports, sure. In Atlanta? TSA precheck wait times are just as long as anything else, mostly because 75% of the people flying out of there have it.
really, wtf, people want to get into the airport for fun... and now I need to wait in a longer line.
Nah. meh.
I am normally all for hosts brining a lot of energy and MTS was pretty good in that regard. But for whatever reason, this episode seemed like a misfire. She seemed super anxious to start the show (lots of fast talking and hand-waving with the nails, as well as ducking behind her hand to laugh) which she was endearing…
This was particularly true in the nurses sketch.
I wanted to enjoy it because MTS seems fun but she was out of her depth. I found her delivery was rushed and she had a number of physical tics that were distracting. Good energy, though
I could not for the life of me understand what the hell Megan was saying for most of her sketches. Yeah, I already had subtitles turned on, and as always, they sucked with their word salad.
It’s a weird review. Also very short. It heaped mostly praise and then gave the episode a C+? I dunno, I think I’m done reading these. The coverage has been erratic at best since the new writer took over.
It was like when they have an athlete and have to write around the athlete’s persona. I thought the workout sketch and the last one were funny, it’s probably not a coincidence Megan wasn’t the focus in them.
Thank you! Having watched that lazily written, unfunny WB level garbage last night, I was wondering if AV Club would have the courage to call it out. To see it praised is absolutely amazing. It was a low water mark for the show and easily one of the poorest installments ever broadcast.
