And that’s fine. If they just want to make jokes that’s great. But shouldn’t the jokes then be, you know, funny?

Couldn’t tell you - I fast-forwarded through the first musical number and as the clock ticked closer to 1 I was hoping they’d forgotten about the second musical slot so we could enjoy another sketch. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so disappointed to not have a 10 to 1 sketch.
Can you be a little more specific?
That’s a hell of a cast when you look at all of those names. I can’t think of too many changes I’d make.
Even factoring that SNL has been running for over 40 years it’s got a track record for recognizing and cultivating talent that I’d argue can’t be beat by any other show in the history of television.
It’s a regional thing but since their commercials run on the New York networks most people are all too familiar with those two guys.
Meet your Second Wife (Taran Killan’s “Oh nooooo!”) was hilarious - thanks for the reminder!
Agreed. This was an episode where 90 minutes didn’t seem nearly long enough. The Weekend Update definitely felt pinched at the end. I can’t recall the last time there wasn’t a correspondent spot right before it wrapped.
Agreed - it’s the lazy approach to the cold opening that bugs me. It’s like they’ve got a chance to do something either very funny or very pointed - or both - but instead we usually get neither. SNL needs to decide if it wants to go after Trump or just do jokes. If it’s the former, sharpen the wit and make it count,…
Not to get nit-picky if you just made a typo, but the line was “She’s a goddamn partner at her firm, buddy!”, referring to Courtney, the contestant. Just prior Doug said Courtney not knowing a name was worse because at the party she should “want to talk to the other wives” as in he thinks Courtney is just somebody’s…
That’s not completely accurate. Here in Manitoba it’s a bit more complicated. There is a per container levy that is applied to all non-deposit, non-dairy beverage containers sold in the province. This 2-cent per container fee is non-refundable, the fee goes to pay for recycling programs in Manitoba.
Similar lids are available at Ikea. I was impressed by their simplicity.

You don’t remember the fits that some people threw because WW wasn’t essentially wearing a bikini for her costume?
Literal snowflakes are far more formidable than the sad bags of skin that troll in this manner.

Given that IR thermometers are incredibly inexpensive these days why not just get a separate device, since the two devices have pretty separate functions and intended areas of operation? I can see a divorce on the horizon if I use a cooking thermometer in the garage, and there really isn’t much I need the IR…

Late to this party so not sure if I’ll get many responses but the obvious question comes to mind: if the recommendation is to use 1,6, or 11... what to do when everyone around me is using those channels? Since as you’ll notice the the graph Channel 6 actually interferes with Channels 4 through 8, and likewise 1 and 11…
Have you *seen* the kid? He’s a Trump.
“Love”? Trump doesn’t know the meaning of the word. And I don’t say that flippantly. Everyone in his life is based on a ROI calculation, a “what have you done for me lately?” calculation.
Barron is proof of that.
I’m guessing they don’t have enough experience being around one long enough to be able to fly/draw that route.
