Shit, if you threw in something about black-on-black violence in Chicago that could be a post from my That Uncle. (Or I assume; I blocked him last year.)

When I was a kid, people in my parent’s generation were immediately suspicious of anything that came from the internet. “Don’t meet anyone from the internet in real life!” “You can’t believe that, it’s just on the internet!”

“Not flagrant”

Listening to Cowher and Neon Dipshit defend this is amazing. It’s now Flacco’s fault for not getting down sooner.

How the hell is that not an ejectable hit? Exhibit A that goes to show you how terrible NFL officiating is, right there.

Until the NFL starts ejecting and suspending players on top of fining them for this stuff, these hits will continue.

That’s 100% an ejection. Both should be in the locker room. Super Easy call. If the league gives 1 shit about player safety, he’s going to be suspended.

I’m a 10+ year member of Local 700 MPEG, a chapter of IATSE; work as a union editor for TV shows. The IATSE International President, who oversees 130,000 members, makes $480,000/year. That’s pretty good. But he oversees an extremely large union with a huge membership. I’m just a lowly grunt- and I make about 70% of

I can’t recall why it came up but I recently told someone “I would lay down in traffic for Drew Magary.” They seemed so surprised but I was like, “Yeah no Drew is a thoughtful and generous person and I would do anything for him.” Thanks for writing this, Drew, and proving me right. (I love being right!)

Oh yes your one anecdotal situation applies to the whole country.

Excellent intro, Drew.

Working without a union is like going to court without a lawyer. They serve the exact same purpose. Saying “Unions protect the lazy” is like saying “Lawyers protect the guilty”.

Sigh... the age-old ‘union workers are lazy’ gambit. Hey, how about you go fuck yourself?

This is some five-star Kinja

Get better eyes. Holy shit.

Well, nobody’s Burf-

One thing I really did like about the switch was that you could see plays open up like the QB does. It’s one thing when you see the traditional view and you don’t know what’s happening up field, but this Madden-view allowed viewers to see routes develop. Unless you’re a woman.

I’m with you. This is the least invasive possible way to protest.

If you really want to keep pushing this master race thing, you should probably get the hang of “jumping” and “getting punched less often” and “not crying into your phone after acting hard on Vice.”

No no no, the guy rode in the ambulance, it was the baby that rode the bike.
