@David Cohen: Not on the X or 2... yet! That funky bootloader chip that's in new Moto phones is preventing it currently. It will eventually be bypassed, but hasn't on these two models yet.

@tyler.derden: You realize that anything running Android or iOS is essentially just as insecure as you're making Windows out to be, right? That's how they are jailbroken and rooted, by being exploited in a way that malicious code can be run.

@LeftClicker: On the original Droid? Yes get a custom boot image with all the Verizon shit removed.

@Haizum74: Look... by all means have I ghetto-fabulouse'd a few electrical things in my life. Old cell phone chargers are a perfect replacement for USB-powered devices, that freak the hell out with hibernation, etc.

@ZachMatthews: Yup! Did this last night. Had another phone taking a picture and flashed before iPhone could get it. As a result, half the image was bright and the iPhone thought "oh I don't need autoflash it's bright" and scanned it odd. Crazy huh!?

@Roadblockx: Agreed. To all the Linux and Apple fan-boys out there, next time you rant and rave about how great your company is and how they're secure, and then go about rooting or jail-breaking your device, remember your exploiting a simple vulnerability in your device.

I would love for an engineer to post data of a weekday and weekend-day. 24 hours. In a hot metro area.

@Hello Mister Walrus: I like how the thing magically went in a straight line and three planets were in line

@Haizum74: That's fine and all...but spending a few extra bucks on something that cost you $70 to begin with isn't that big of a deal. It's not like he's using it to power a flashlight.

I understand that old Exchange OWA was crap... but anything since 2003 is pretty decent. Have you guys actually bothered to see how useful it is now? 2010 allows other browsers to actually use it fully, not the limited "lite" version.

Keep in mind this more or less breaks YouTube since it forces all pages to not use HTML5 versions anymore

@Attmay: If you're being really daring, try ALT+L,G,L,G and you'll get a diagnostics log of everything that's happening since last reboot. It would be cool if you could actually see the PIN's associated contact name, not just the hex, but you can snoop on your GF if ya want :P

@Epon: Aghhh sorry! Stupid internet connection :(

Will WiFi hotspot be crippled by carriers? Or will Verizon allow it through like they did with the Pre?

@JawzX2: I guess you failed to read the part where I said I have a Blackberry and can't stop getting BBM requests...? Take a step back and re-read my posts to get my point....

@AkkiRonin: South/Central Jersey... Jersey Shore fistpumping area, to be exact :P

I don't know if it's just a fad in my area/state, but I'd say out of every 100 people I run into in my demographic (socially, not business), an overwhelming majority have Blackberries. I can actually count on one hand how many people have iPhones and Android devices.
