Uncreative as a reference, but it still looks great on it’s own.

The solar does power the propeller most of the daytime hours

GM has taken risks and I do agree that they tend to fold (Fiero... hell even the Corvair was a fuck up that wasn’t helped by morons who couldn’t fucking drive). But lately all they’ve done is go back to building the same bull-shit half-assed recycled interior automobiles they always had prior to the crash of 08-09.

“in a market that can’t get enough of big and stupid SUVs."

The thing with the Fiero was, by the time they finally got it right nobody wanted one anymore.  Yet another classic example of a good idea ruined by poor execution.

I would 100% be doing this. I can wait longer to make someone in front of me miserable for flipping me off earlier.

Not to mention they were phenomenal pieces of shit. Not one of the restorations you see at cars and coffee looked anywhere near that good, or ran as reliably, coming out of the factory.

I don’t find modern cars uncomfortable at all, personally. I like a bit of firmness and support, and I’ve never noticed a newer car feeling particularly bad on crappy pavement. But then, I sleep on the firmest mattress I could find and I put a board under it to make it even firmer. Maybe I’m just weird. To me though,

My stepdad had a 69 Mach I giant pain in the ass. Was fun if you got on the gas and we're positive you were pointed straight. Looked gorgeous though. My girlfriends current 2008 Jeep Liberty could probably beat it around a track

Mpg is meaningless?

Most people don’t want a fun car though, they just want a comfy couch to sit on while they crawl through traffic to and from their jobs, plus enough space for the kids, kid-related gear, and groceries. Also, they want it to be reliable and not cost a boatload to operate.

The BQE, as it is colloquially known, is only a “highway” in the loosest definition of the term, since the speed limit is 45 mph but most of the time you’ll be lucky if you go one mph.

Say what you want but the Rav4 Hybrid is pretty much the perfect family car for like 90% of Americans. Has the “Rugged looks” but is not super hardcore with compromises, 40MPG combined, spacious, Toyota resale and reliability, got all the tech and safety features you want, and is quicker than the gas only version.

You really can’t just eat a steak that’s a bit overdone? I like mine medium rare too, but if it comes out medium or medium well, I’m not going to refuse to eat it.

We ordered onion rings salads and entrees when the server brought the drinks. The entrees arrived seconds after the salads and we juggled plates to make space for them because it was awkward for the servers to stand there with the hot plates but it was messy having big salad plates and big entree plates out there

Pretty sure Tesla has way more chance than Rivian. But other than Tesla, Rivian is probably the one with the most chance.

People forced the government to regulate the hell out of the auto industry in terms of safety. All that safety add weight, engineering cost, manufacturing costs, material costs, etc.

I have no problem with this. You seem to have an irrational hatred of these tail lights, much like my wife has an irrational hatred of Clare Daines.

Not as infuriating as GM’s “Hey let’s use the reverse lights as supplemental parking lights when you park”.

Not unique at all whatsoever.  Everything is driven by the bottom line for the current quarter, in order to drive up stock prices.  Eventually, it bites you, but *never* for the current fiscal quarter.
