I agree and disagree with you. First of all, you're right. No one's own race and gender should prohibit them from making characters of other races, genders, or sexual orientations. If it does, that speaks to an underlying prejudice, which no one should have (but we obviously do, since we aren't perfect).

I like the article overall Evan. One thing that I did disagree with that popped out:

Yeah, except no one will be playing The Order in five months, and Destiny is still packed. But good try at an analogy, it almost worked.

I'm confused by the pre-release hype surrounding this game. Where were the high expectations coming from? Am I missing something?

Nope. Shooting things will always be fun. But it's how you shoot things that determines how fun the shooting actually is.

Now playing

I don't want to kick the game too much ... but man, I love that video:

Worthy review of the game is of course one of the very few positive reviews that exist. What're the odds.

Right, Game Of The Year with a 67 score on Metacritic. Yep the critics are loving this one.

You can be cinematic without using QTE's everywhere. See; Shadow Of The Colossus. I think complaining about the lack of gameplay IN A GAME is a fair gripe.

Do you like movies? Do you like video games? If you answered "yes" to either of those questions, you should probably skip The Order: 1886.

You haven't played the game.
They have played the game.
The game is getting mediocre reviews from most people

Or, and here's a crazy idea, maybe he just didn't like the game?

Have you played the game as you seem to have a pretty strong opinion on the product? I ask because last time I checked the game doesn't come out for another 16 or so hours...

So more Sigourney Weaver then? I am on board! *runs to buy tickets*

And to be fair, that was most of the fun of Jurassic Park too.

If Starcraft was a kids' cartoon it'd be Carbot's Starcrafts!
