    While Half-Life was an important game for its innovations in AI, seamless level design, and narrative scripted events...it's still unfortunate to me, that like Deus Ex, very few games have really replicated its design, and most FPSs in the last gen have gone backwards from it.

Like I remember when there was an article here on Kotaku about EA giving away Battlefield 1942(what some would argue is the best in the series) and you get this horde of people going on about WELL IF IT…
