Absolutely not, for one it's a great finisher, and secondly, you can easily soften up a target behind cover, giving you an advantage when you go get him with your main gun.

You still can carry an extra mini compared to RGO and M67. Only now it's 2 instead of 3.

Oh please, can't we have a period not yet over-used :P Like, a well made WWI massive scale FPS. I'm sure with a bit of research there's a way to make this as enjoyable as any BF.

One very important change to be listed: HUD cluttering. It's now fixed, and in the best way: entirely customizable. It takes a few minutes to setup but you can now tweak the opacity and overall visibility of everything on your hud, separated in categories like friends or foes.

I'm a bit of a BF fan myself and I'm used to playing them quite a lot at times, so I see the problems occur probably a bit more on this end, but essentially the game is inferior to its predecessors by quite the margin. The list is really too long to enunciate here, but the patch notes do a pretty good job of it.

BF4 major patch released ! Can't wait to test it tonight, because if everything in the patch notes and player feedback is true, then this just might save BF4 for me after all. (And yes, the Deagle gets a nerf in it).

To be faire Bethesda has always been terrible at character creators (and they've never been that good with in-house character creation anyway, besides some good ideas).

The first season still feels the best to me. Besides the half assed romance, the rest was surprisingly strong, level headed and mature. The villain from S1 is still unmatched, even if S3 did good on that end.

The trend of having British accents on everything that isn't american or generic in a game is getting old I agree... TW Rome 2 is particularly annoying with its British Romans.

If we exlude the indie scene in all that, to avoid complicating things, I agree with you on that creativity matter up to a certain point.

Well now I fell awkward...

PS isn't so much bizarre/unique as PC can be, so for me that point for consoles is a bit moot. They're aimed at providing a larger userbase with a middle ground between hardcore gaming and occasional/casual gaming. They've got a great range, but nowhere near the PC experience in that sense. That's not an apology for

I don't find that the destruction has been scaled back so much in terms of possibilities. In fact possibilities have increased with BF3 and 4, it's just that BC2 was almost entirely made of the smaller buildings that can entirely be destroyed and collapsed. The subsequent titles still have those, but they also have

We easily fall in fanboy wars. I'm PC myself so I tend to stay more like in the back and grab whatever comes around here and looks nice and fun, but the Sony/MS war has always been a sad, sad sight for me.
If Sony constructed an image over the years it's also that of a company that made many mistakes and goofy

That's what I was hoping it would not be: fanboyism :)
And if you think Sony is a paragon compared to MS... hah.

Pretty. Very pretty.

Curious about what the other platforms are in terms of adjectives for you :P

Question for the Destiny players out there:

In terms of shooter, look at TF2 for example. It's colored, varied and with fun shapes, and the gun actually seem like they have an effect beyond glorified flashlights. Not in this game. That's a bad thing when the core of your gameplay is using guns !

I see Gearbox still haven't put their finger on what makes a good FPS... hint: it has something to do with shooting.
