Yes the Wii sold millions of systems. Mostly people bought one, played Wii sports, then let it gather dust in a cupboard. They sold a lot of systems and as such a few games did great on it but ultimately this wasn't an entertainement system most people kept in their living room.

EDIT: this is not exactly a rant, just a broad questionning. I also don't have 100% of the facts because I don't follow Nintendo as closely, but I do follow the industry since I work in it.

People are QQing F2P but not all F2P are uninteresting money grabbing schemes. Grow up people. Learn to take the decision by yourself after having the game in your hands at least, since it's free, instead of letting a term take that decision for you.

I think Nintendo fans are by far the most active on the whole internet. I don't think they're that many in numbers, just very very dedicated. Nintendo is lucky for that.

Overall nice E3 prez. For me Ubisoft takes the cake again, surprisingly. Sony and MS are same same in terms of excitement (1st party was kinda weak), EA was disappointing (so many expectations, so little delivered) but the fact Hardline in its entirety leaked early didn't help.

Feels a little too close to BF4 for my comfort, but I'm still on the fence. The solo by visceral + other multi gamemodes might sell me on it yet.

Kotaku has a great many Sony fans. Not that it's a bad thing (I don't care one way or another), but for them, catering a little bit more to them is a good move. Don't look any further.

It's just hard to make big procedural worlds interesting. That's why you have teams of designers on AAA games, to create interesting content. People tend to think that it's not necessary and procedural removes any need for those guys, but they couldn't be more wrong. More often than not, procedural is a boring bust :/
