Most people don't even begin to understand how much of feat it is to ship a game, much less how impressive it is to ship something like Bioshock: Infinite.

Well if Nintendo had built the WiiU to be a next gen console, graphically speaking, this problem wouldn't happen.

I want more indies to go the way Banner Saga went. With an amazing artstyle that manages to be simple, elegant and never tired. Pixel art is fine and all but it's usually the lazy way to go.

Porting a total war game to console, even with fancy controllers.... ouch. To play a Total War really well without sluggish actions and an army that's just spread out nonsensically, you're going to need a bunch of buttons and... well a mouse imo.

I personally love Napoleon, way over Empire, but only with the Darthmod installed. The unit variety and sizes, the 40 units banners, it all just makes the epicness click. After reading a number of books on the period, it just hit the spot.

Napoleon vanilla feels too small, but play it with Darthmod. It makes a world of difference. 40 units banners, much increased unit sizes, much more unit variety that stick really close usually to the historical units. A real blast.

I wish them well even in the midst of the shitstorm. But BF4 is a disappointing game all in all. It's still a very good game, and people saying otherwise are either the unlucky guys who still can't boot it or crash all the time (and I feel for you guys, it really sucks) or just not seeing things straight.

Problem is they're under Warner. And Warner has enough licenses that they'll never let those guys anywhere near a new IP imo... and it's sad.

Amon would have made it better in the list than that other guy :P

Okay I went in there not expecting much, I admit.

I don't know what sort of mazochistic impulse made me watch the video but now at least I pinpointed the exact feeling of losing 1 minute and 27 seconds of my life. Time that was devoid of all meaning, I imagine that's what being in limbo or hell is like.

I agree that the industry should work more like you're stating. Though then again, everything isn't as simple as saying that AAA are doing things this way which doesn't work and indies are doing it that way which is better.
