As far as I know, the F-117 doesn't have any defensive weapons (guns) at all. It's actually a tactical bomber, so the F designation isn't accurate at all. It should have been called the B-117.

That is somewhat subjective. They are multi-role, and as the only 'A' in our fleet we generally group them in with fighters. The mechanics & pilots fill 'fighter' roles, and it's just not a term that's clearly defined anymore. Another example of this grey area would be the F-111, which was clearly not a fighter but…
